Trying to find out the names of 2 games please.
This one has been bugging me for years. It's not even a very good game and I could never quite figure out what the point of it was, which is one of the reasons I want to remember what it was called.
It's an early/mid 90s PC game, I think it was dos. Can't remember much about it so apologies for the vague details...
I think you play the role of a knight/prince (maybe even peasant?) and it is set in the medieval times. I remember there was a castle courtyard and a pub. I think you can get in a fight at the pub or get stabbed, but that might be my memory playing tricks. It had a day/night cycle, which I thought was very cool and advanced for a computer game at that time.
It had a very primitive 3D perspective to it and was none-linear game. By that I mean you could just wander around at your own pace a bit like Zelda on the SNES (but not as good obviously).
For some reason I thought it was called 'gambit' or had gambit in the title but I've not had any luck searching that name so ignore this if it doesn't help jog your memory. That might have been a different game.
2nd game is an old Japanese Gameboy (first edition) game. Might be Chinese I'm not sure. The packaging was all in Japanese/Chinese so I've never known the real name for it. Not sure it had an official English release and I don't know anyone else who owned the game, so it must have been pretty rare (in western countries anyway). My brother and I just used to call it 'Chinky Chonky Chinese' because we didn't know what it was called (we were not racist - just children).
It is a platform game similar to Super Mario Land, only you play as a Sumo wrestler and it is set in Japan/China. It was a really good game - as good as Mario Land but maybe a bit slower, and some of the levels were quite tricky. I never completed the game, which is one of the reasons I want to find out what it was called.
I remember one of the company logos on the box said IMAX. Pretty sure it was IMAX anyway, or something very similar.
This might be my memory playing tricks again, but I'm sure you have to arm wrestle or play cards with someone at the end of each level. Could be wrong though, so ignore if this confuses things.
Any help much appreciated.
