Awesome Thread Escapist!

I've got a good one for you:

-mid-late 1980's(no later than '88)
-PC or Apple(it was in color)
-RPG, 1st person

*All I can remember is, during character/party select, you are walking through a light grey brick(cobblestone) dungeon, up to these framed paintings(portraits) on the walls. Once you get click to get up close to the painting, you click on it to select.

*Sorry, I can't remember much more than that, not even gameplay. -It's been about 25 years ago & I been thinking about it for forever.

Hi all,

I am looking for an old macintosh game (at least I played it on a Macintosh). I believe it was called "quest" (but not sure, Google does not give me anything).
The game was really like the "Half Inch Heist" game for phone/tab (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIDmYdwjX-M).
it had weird sounds when you'ld gather diamonds/jewels whatever it was.

It was in color and I played it on a Mac LC I in early 90's.

thanks if everyone can find the name.

Sorry Guys...... I have another one to ask of you.

It was an arcade game where you played as a boy and a girl on a handcart, like the ones on a railroad where you push it up and down? The game was controlled by actually pushing up and down on a massive bar to increase your speed and by hitting two pedals to lean from side to side or jump to avoid obstacles. It was a two player game, with both people having to cooperate to jump or lean but getting an overall advantage in speed from having the two of you.
You are not the only one looking for the name of that game. I found two other threads on that subject. All I found out was that the game was at Chuck E. Cheese.
I finally found out the game title, It was Magical Truck Adventure by Sega. If you can remember those threads, please let them know what you've found out.

Hi! Joined this forum JUST so I could get some help and assistance in finding this one game I've lately been going crazy trying to find.

It was a PS2 game (if I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure it was a fighting game, but it wasn't from the sideview, you were able to see the character infront of you). If I remember correctly, the only character you could play as in the game was one female character who had her hair in a ponytail (she had a full body outfit -- I think you could change the colors to either purple, green, or black, but don't take my word on that), and she fought against herself on the opposing team. The location was in a dome type area that occasionally had no gravity. I wish I could try to remember more, but this is all I can think of at the moment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't know if I've just gone crazy and just dreamed about this game, or I'm just having serious trouble trying to find it.

Thank you so much to anyone who could try to help. :)

I also just joined to see if I can get any help finding an old game!

It was a PC game for kids with an environmental message. I remember that the basic "plot" was that there was a planet which had its natural environment destroyed by industrial pollution, and you had to do various minigames in order to get the resources to return it to its former state.

Each minigame was associated with a different planet in the same solar system. You played as 3 different people in the different minigames - either a blonde white girl, a brown or black haired black girl (who might've been a boy), or a purple dinosaur (I don't know how they had a sapient purple dinosaur with them). I only remember two of the minigames:

- A maze minigame where you play as the blonde girl. The maze is underground on a red planet (I believe), and you have to search the maze for a bag of seeds, which you then must return to the surface. I remember there being riddles in the maze that you would have to answer to advance.

- A minigame where you played as the dinosaur, in which you had to sort recycling into plastic, paper, and metal. The recycling would come along on a conveyor belt and you would have to press the relevant button before it reached the end of the belt.

I really don't remember much else about it other than minor details (the two human characters wore identical white clothing, the screen where you selected which minigame to play showed the different planets with a progress bar next to each of them - once you'd progressed far enough through each minigamee you won), and that it was probably made in the early-mid nineties, as that's roughly when I played it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give! :)

i have a game i've been trying to remember for years now. my memory of this game is really vague but i have a couple of details. You were a warrior wondering a world looking for new weapons and fighting enemies, at one point i acquired claws like wolverine(that were devasting to your enemies. Then at another point in the game there was a mission where you were in an arena and you had to fight 100 levels in a row that got harder as you beat them. If anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it. This has been killing me, i'm pretty sure it was either PS or PS2. Please HELP!!!!!!!

Trying forever to find a game I used to play on my old windows 98 (i think) computer at least 10 years ago. It was a haunted house/mansion shooting-type game. You walked through the mansion and shot Frankenstein, bats, witches and traveled outside into the garden labyrinth to shoot skeletons that shot back at you. Then you went into the stone court yard and shot at gargoyles. It had other levels where you shot at harder to kill witches. You collected healing potions. And you could change out your guns for a magic wand. I used to waste SOOO many hours on this game and I was thinking about it that other day and I can't remember what is was actually called. I think it might have come with my windows computer back in the day.

Does anyone remember this or know the name? I wonder if you can still play it anywhere?

Thanks!!
Anybody know this? My post seems to have been lost amongst the many pages of other desperate game searches

Theres this game I use to play about a decade or so again when I was really wrong and its starting to really bother me ! I know Im not giving much on the details but its driving me crazy. I remember that you played as this kid wearing blue like a tshirt and had a red handkerchief scarf. There were cut scenes in the game but mostly it was played in 2D like how it scrolls across. I think you might have started in a garage of some sort when you realise something was taken from you (Your dog maybe?) I briefly remember a cut scene involving this weird fat flying monster eating some sort of apple in a tree?

PC Windows 95/98 I think,
Sounds like Heart of Darkness.

I am trying to remember a game, you were some guy in a mech that was performing a RECONrun on some space station. The weird part was when you encountered this AI thng, it would say "I am the Alpha and Omega" and it locked you in a room to try and kill you with altered gravity.

It was an old PS1 we rented a lot when I was a kid. I so badly want to know its name and hopefully nab a copy to nostalgia with.

EDIT: It was BRAHMA Force: The Assault on Beltlogger-9 [http://www.gamespot.com/brahma-force-the-assault-on-beltlogger-9/] that I played. Damn I wish I had played it when I was a good deal better at video games. I was playing this game at seven or eight and just sucking at it.

There is this one game I can't forget whatever I do, once every few months I remember it again. I can describe enough to expect someone to be able to answer me, but even after hours of exercising my rather good (if I'm allowed to say so) google-fu I only found the same games over and over... So I need someone who knows this game.

The game is from the 90's (pretty sure) and I think it was a game for PC (may be wrong though). It was a platformer with several levels. The level selection screen was black and showed the levels in a sphere with an kinda example, the name of the level written in the sphere. You could switch to left and right to choose other levels. In the level you could see a minimap on the left side of the screen, and there were boxes with different weapons to pick up. When you fulfilled your goal or spent to much time (don't know which or what) magma\lava started to rise up (at least in one level) and a bunch of very strong robots\whatever would show up to kill you.

Aunt Edith says: Maybe I should add that the game is 2D and the maps where quite big for the screens back then, which is why the minimap was very useful.

I've recently tried to recall an old spaceship/starship game for the PC myself. I believe it was a shareware deal, but there was a full version as well. I will do my best to piece together some of the things I remember.

The demo limited the styles of ships you could be, but I do recall your ship flying in from the bottom of the screen up close to the top and back down to land on a pad below where a female computer would talk to you briefly before you set out.

Once set out you flew around much like the style of Asteroids, in which you could in fact destroy asteroids, but you also collected gas tanks and actual icons for programs you had on your computer. So, much like the icons sitting on your desktop, except they'd be floating around in space for you to collect as a sort of "currency." If you shot at them, they'd begin to crack or be destroyed if too much damage was done to them.

There were other NPC space ships that would fly around and request help to kill asteroids and such, stating "I could use some help!" or contrary, "Hey, watch it!" if you shot at them. All the way to "I'm gonna get you!" if you harassed them too much. These were all vocal responses. Sometimes police ships would come out if you killed too many NPC players. I remember one being called "The Enforcer"

You could also access an upgrade station, granted I forget how, where your ship would land on a platform while you selected weapons and such from a list that cost money. You could even go into debt if you bought too much. Here you could also repair your ship if you took too much damage. When taking too much damage, you lost the left side of your ship, I.E. a wing, then the other side, sort of leaving you with this small center section.

I don't know if this enough information to help, but for the life of me I cannot remember the name nor can I find it on the net through the tidbits of info I have. Hopefully one of the minds out in the digital world can help me out on this.

Thank you kindly!

A bit old but... Could it be Tyrian??

hello everyone :)
I think it was 10 years ago when I played this game on my old PC
It's a robot game that has 2 mode (Story mode and VS mode)
You played as a robot and could turn into a jetfighter(or something like) same as Transformer :/
You can play 1 player or 2 players to fight together or to battle in VS mode that's separate your screen into 2 part for each player (2 player in 1 PC)
In VS mode,
- You can control 1 robot but you can build another robot soldier for your team
- At the Podium in the middle of map has a weapon that can be pick by the player who come first

It's been killing me to know what the game's name it!! If anyone knows or has an idea of what it was, please help >__< Thank you very much!
( I'm not good at writing English. I apologize for any mistake I may cause.)
Sounds similar to L.A.P.D Future Cop (was actually mentioned a page back) Turn between a robot walker and a bike or something.

I'm having trouble remembering a game I played when I was young, and although my usual Google wizardry has failed me I am glad to have found this thread and hopefully my mind can be put to rest.

The game itself was very similar in style to a music maker program such as garage band except that it was presented in a game format, It was a PC game and I remember playing it early 90's but It could be older. I think I remember a hiring and firing aspect of musicians and you then went on to play gigs with the music you made but it possibly wasn't as complex as that.

It was very cartoony in nature, and all the characters where exaggerated versions of musical styles (such as the goth rocker or punk rocker).

I distinctly remember a line from one of the characters who said 'I know what I like, and I like what I know' when you gave him a piece of music.

Hopefully someone can help me with this :).

I remember playing this game. It probably came out in 2001-2005 sometime, so u could play it on win xp. It might be a demo of an FPS. So this is what i remember.

First you started in space around some planet on a bigger ship then your team goes into a smaller one with a woman logo on it(somewhat like kappa logo but only one woman and I belive it was a red woman in a yellow circle). Then the ship took of on that planet and you were on the ship playing when it was flying to the planet. You could even mount the minigun on the side of a ship. I remember going past some towers, when finally landing. When you land and go off the ship the pilot flies off and you team is on a dessert like planet with palms. Then you shoot mainly robots. Then a 300 meters away there is like a bridge. When going around a bit I once stumbled upon some little blue robbots that attacked me.

Thats all i remember. I hope some of you guys know this game. Thx :D

Hello all.
So basically this game has been bugging me for years and years...
I got it early 90's in a (xplosiv maybe?) 2-in-1 game. The first game i dont care about but for accuracy's sake it was flying car sci-fi bounty hunter game.
Now the game I have trouble remembering was a point and click adventure and I believe you we're a cop or P.I. The 1st case (or if not 1st the only bit i remember) was about a brutal rape in an alleyway or car park or something (probably why it stuck with me as I was only 7-9 years old at the time) and that our protagonist had a loft apartment. visually it looked like broken sword, kinda bright visuals not gloomy noir-like.

Now obviously I'm not giving much to go on but I don't know much, I could never figure the game out (I was young) to really give anymore key plot points. But it has plagued me for years. I have browsed countless old game forums and images looking for a single screenshot I recognise and looked up hundreds of double pack games. But alas to no avail.

Anyway I know it's a long shot but seriously any suggestions are welcome as I have exhausted all my other mean of locating this damn game.

Oh Yeah I almost forgot it was on PC
Thanks for any help!!!
