This is an old game for the Mac...around 1998 to 2002 I think. You play as a character who is always moving left to right (he changes directions when he hits the wall) and you have to climb a brick tower by jumping at the right time. You could make yourself go twice as fast, and it had great music. All 2D.

Icy Tower (2001)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRmGYjGN6xE
I appreciate the help, but unfortunately, this is not it. The Character can only jump the same way every time. And the character never slows his pace, unless you click like a sort of double speed button. He reminds me of Mario as a builder going up a construction site.
Then it should be:

NS- Tower (1997)

WOOHOOO! Thanks!

There was a game that came out a while back when 3D graphics a were emerging in PC games.
It was an RTS in which players would manage tribal villages and attack other villages on a playing area shaped like a dome and the units moved around on it like a mini-planet.

You control a shaman and use spells like tornadoes, meteor showers, and stuff like that.
Guard towers could be built and a barracks to send troops. I think some of the troops could shoot fireballs.

Does this game sound familiar to anybody? I played a demo of it off of an old PC Gamer demo disc and can't for the life of me remember it was called.

Alright so I remember playing a game years ago on PC with some-what 8bit graphics, and I really liked it. For about 2 years now I've been trying to find this game but I've had no luck.
It was an RPG. There are 5 friends in the starting of the game, a blond haired sword fighting man, his green haired elf girlfriend, another red-haired girl, another man I can't really recall, and a green slime/sludge creature which is a sidekick/pet of the swordfighter.

These friends start out together and fight enemies together but then we reach a point in the game where they all have to go their separate ways, so we have to choose any one character to proceed with the game.
The swordfighter goes his separate way to take swordifighting training, and his sludge pet goes with him. The elf, and the unknown man, not too sure. The red-haired woman goes her separate way to train herself with magic and spells and such. Now there comes a time in the story where the elf girl misses her swordfighter boyfriend and leaves everything behind to re-unite with him. Once they're back together, the couple spends more time with each other and the sludge pet feels left out, so the sludge runs away and goes his separate path. There was one such quest for the sludge's story where it has to fight these brown earth monsters called Golems and retrieve a certain amount of Golem heads in order to complete the quest.

This is all I remember, and I was never able to complete the storyline because my PC was formatted years ago.

Please help me out.

Can anyone please help me figure out what this game I use to play is?

-between 2000-2005 although the games probably older
-played on my old apple computer
- played as a man
- was in a temple or pyramid
- had to collect colored keys to match the same colored doors to get to the next level/ section
- had big spiders that would eat you
- had to climb up and down ladders some would be half broken

I can't really remember too much more! But I hope someone can help me figure out what game this is :)

This is just a guess, but maybe its Fable.
There are multiple fables,im referring to Fable 1.

Hi guys I'm hoping someone can help!
I've been looking for this game for a while, it's pretty old -around the time of James Pond I believe- and the main thing I can remember was that you could change between a car, a plane, I think a couple of other things and the level select screen looked like a building with a lot of doors and depending on whether you came out of a level as a car or plane or just walking you'd be able to choose different levels and with the plane you could fly higher to get to levels further up on the building (I think it went onto clouds too) There were cheat codes that would allow you to switch between the different forms you could take easier as well.
And I can't for the life of me remember what it was called, I think it might have been on PC but it may have been a console around sort of SNES time. It doesn't sound like a game many would enjoy now as my age but I really want to play it for nostalgia sake!
If anyone could help that would be wonderful c:

Hello folks.
Never posted here, only made an account for this topic specifically.

Some 20-odd years ago I played a demo of a game that I was never able to finish and later on lost in the deep abyss that is my collection of various hard-drives.

All I remember is that this was a dos game, early-to-mid 90's, which resembled an action-adventure type game. I'm not sure if this game had free movement or grid-based movement, but I do know the scheme was a bit like System Shock (e.g. use mouse to aim and interact with the environment, click to move around etc.)

You start off in a near-pitch-black cave, some rather well made rock-wall or brick-wall type textures, with very life-like/photo-realistic sprites. This engine had textured floors and roofings, as well as different elevated sprites, so it must have been mid 90's.

You wake up next to, if I remember correctly, a well and a skeleton and possibly several torches around the room and walls, the cave wasn't just a simple square room but actually had some shape to it. There's a puzzle you need to solve here, or at least an interaction you need to perform which gives you a rifle of some description with about 3-7 shots. Next, a pack of rats attacks the player which he needs to fend off... what happens next, I can't remember. It might even have been the end of the demo.
Bump.

The ads on this website are excruciatingly annoying on the mobile client because it keeps cocking up my goddamn posts.

THIRD ATTEMPT at writing this now for cocks sake.

I am looking for a game in the time between duke nukum and duke nukem 2, where you play a man/teen... Err... Collecting objects?
In fact, I remember very little of the game, the only thing I do know is that you start out on what appears to be a rooftop with a fence around it (against jumpers) and there's some big dome and blue cloudy skies in the background, parallax scrolling as you fall onto/into the building.

Quite litteraly the only thing I remember is that the body of the player was anatomically correctly animated and the guy probably wore jeans with a gray shirt. I wish I knew more. Might have been that you collect soda/coke bottled for points and fight robots or something.

Hello everyone, I tried to search for a particular, quite old PC game but I just can't find it anyhow.Maybe you can help :D

-Turn based mix of RPG/RTS
-You first chose from knight/mage/archer
-The fighting screen was looking somewhat like a card game. There were 8 slots for each side to fill with soldiers represented by their portraits. One row of 4 for melee, second one for mages/archers. The soldiers could perform one or two actions represented by a simple, red circle icon with either swords, arrows or... skull thingy. The amount of damage was made visible by slowly filling their portraits with red
-Both you and the soldiers could level up, you could even choose distinct evolution paths for them to create a versatile squad
-Most of the time you had a city where you could recruit lv1 soldiers, buy items and get healed
-On the world map you walked with your hero somewhat like in HOMM
-The game mostly consisted of a single-player campaign with missions getting really hard later, making you engaged and satisfied with every battle won, especially when you leveled up your precious soldiers (losing too many of them means it's over, as level 1 soldiers were quite weak, and there was often a time limit)
-The hero and soldier portraits were photos, so it wasn't any kind of anime game for sure, and they were really classical, looking like a real-world medieval army.

Thanks in advance :D I'd really love to play this little gem, as I already replayed almost all of my favourite SNES/PSX games and I'm hungry for some more retro gameplay :)

Hello, i remember playing a game about 6 or 5 years ago.
You play there as a blue alien that eats or does some stuff to some thing and than he can transform into some other alien forms. like lava or something like that. Game graphics are like an animation movie.
I remember downloading an demo of this game in mofunzone.
Does anybody know this games name?

P.S. The game started whit the blue alien falling down from the space or something.

I meant I have been searching for it ever since i stopped playing it and forgot; 6 years ago. Funny though, you gave me a good laugh
Good, that was my intention. After posting it, I was kinda afraid you actually might take offense to it. Glad it made you laugh. And sorry I can't help you with your game. I am not really knowledgeable when it comes to old games.

Okay, I've been stalking this thread for ages now catching up, and I'm usually pretty good at googling the games I vaguely recall by myself, but I'm stuck at this one darn game and I can't get any results on this. I promise I'll help out later, too!

Okay so my memory is hazy but I remember the game was a sort of rpg style, for the PS2 (I'm almost certain it's PS2, if not then PS1). But the whole "thing" about it is that you have to replay the game again and again, each time with a different character with their own storyline and past. So you start off with one default character, do the entire thing, blah blah then you start over with another character, rinse and repeat till it leads to a big finale. The plot as far as I recall was that there is a shipwreck at a sort of abandoned castle/island place and you and the survivors have to battle your way through everything. There were various characters, I think I remember a little girl or a woman abandoned/orphaned? I can't recall right now... The graphics weren't spectacular but it wasn't JRPG style, it wasn't anime/manga inspired, cause I keep getting JRPG's and euuuugh google is failing me.

Sounds like Orphen? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orphen:_Scion_of_Sorcery

Edit: I know you said it wasn't a JRPG, just I'd played Orphen a year or so ago and the story is very similar to what you explained :p

I remember this old pc game that I used to play when I was young. I can remember the thumbnail to the game being like, the head of the main character, being a black and white dog. In the game, you play as this black and white dog, or I think you can choose character between different animals, and in the first level, you live on an island, and every character/animal has their own child, and they all get kidnapped. Then I remember the next level (which I think is the second, from memory) is in like, a skyscraper, & you have guns, & the enemies are like, other dogs, in suits. It is a 3d game. That's all I can remember, hopefully someone knows what i'm talking about, because I can't find in anywhere on google...
