I just thought of it for the first time in years... it was a game out in the early 1990s, and they had multiple sequels to it. It reminded me of Calvin and Hobbes and Spaceman Spiff, as you're a kid that goes into space and you fight blue aliens.

That would be Commander Keen.

I've done a bit of googling and this thread has come up numerous times, but not exactly finding what I'm looking for. There's 2 games:

1. It was a top down 2D single/multiplayer spaceship shooter game on the PC, probably on Windows 98. Very similar to the recently released Galatron on Facebook messenger, except the only distinct thing I can remember is that me and my brother could play co-op on it.

2. A 3D game whereby you were (I think) an explorer in some different levels. Again, on the PC for probably Win98. Don't think you could attack or anything. I seem to remember possibly one of the first levels being based around pyramids?

Cheers for any help guys!
Is maybe the first game Warblade? :)
I don't think so, as far as I'm aware there wasn't any opportunity to purchase weapons. I think it was just a case of an enemy would drop a power up and you'd fly over it to change your weapon. It looks similar though!
Anyone got any ideas? Not really that fussed about the adventure game, but this co-op space shooter is really playing on my mind!

Hello.

I'm looking for a PS1 fighting game was released late 90s or early 2000. All I can remember it was a fighting game like Street Fighter and there was my favorite character a photographer girl uses one of her abilities to shoot her opponents with camera flash to blind them. I also remember the cover was in anime art style, but the game play was 3D. Thanks!
It wasn't Evil Zone was it? I just don't remember a photographer.

I'm looking for a game I remember next to nothing about. It was on PS1 and you start next to your spaceship. It was a 2D game and all I remember was running to the right, shooting some aliens and running back to my ship because you could jump on top of it where it was safe. I remember it was all very brown looking and every time you jumped you rolled into a ball. It's been haunting me for years.

Sounds a bit like Heart of Darkness, except there you can only jump next to where the ship landed and not back on it.

More specifically, since you mention blue aliens, that would likely be Commander Keen episodes 1, 2 and 3, the "Invasion of the Vorticons" series. (There was also "Goodbye, Galaxy", which is Keens 4, 5 and 6.)

Looking at the screenshots of Galatron, it wouldn't be DemonStar by Mountain King Studios Inc, would it?

Ok, so a friend lent me this game years ago and I've been looking through game lists and cannot find it anywhere. So I've come to this... I'm going to try to describe it and see if anyone can guess it. Also, it is not Darkstone, but has very similar graphics and came out in the 98-2001 range.

It's a top down 3D RPG on PC(windows) with a very crude block lighting system where it fased to black after like 20 "feet". You start the game coming off of a small paddle boat on a river as you are returning home to see your father. You talk to a fisherman and the take the path to go to town or to your fathers house. The camera can rotate around and do some zooming. There are a few caves at first where you fight bears and stuff. There's some magic spells and you find some evil wizard cult has either killed or taken your father and they are after you too.
That's about as much as I can remember.

I remember the jewel case had very black artwork. I think it was 2 discs. the name escapes me, its like darkrune or dragonseed or something, but definitely not Dark Stone though very much like it.

EDIT: NM FOUND IT SOULBRINGER Found on Pintrest of all places.

So I remember playing this game in 1996 for the PC (interactive fiction). You wake up and are in your cabin aboard a spaceship. It's a text driven game, early rpg, where you collect items to eventually (I think) escape whatever planet you've crashed into. I remember the game had some back talk if you typed inappropriate things.
That sounds like Planetfall.

- FPS
- Your character is on some kind of graveyard
- Enemies showing themselves behind tombstones (their heads sticking out, one by one) and shoot at you.
- 1995-2000 aproxx

Dunno if it was just 1 level of a demo game. But remember playing it as a kid once, and never saw it again.
Your character was anchored (couldn't move) and you only could see a gun/rifle.
As i remember, graphics were great for that age.
*bump*

Hi guys, so i joined the forums to digout two ancient flash games that i used to play all the time back in the day, but somehow i forgot the name of them and i have been wondering ever since.

The first game is basically a kid that stands behind a big person. The kid is only trying to do something harmful or harmless to the big guy inorder to go next in the line infront of a resturant or a cafeteria. the game gives the player many stuff and weapons to try out on the big guy such as nails, itching powder and such. all of those stuff and weapons usually backfire on the kid and harms him and not the big guy. the outro of the flash game had a cartoonish wooden plank with words on it.

The Second flash game is of basically a boring office day with workers just doing their work. the player can choose actions that can change the office into something fun like a disco night club, a paperplane fight and other funny things that can be turned into.

These are the two of many games that i would love to play again..

I will be extremely thankful to whoever got the strongest memory around this forum that can remember the names of those two games i mentioned.

I've been trying to find the name of an old early 90's(?) pc game for over a year now. One of those gems that were terrible, you never made progress in, but you always tried to play it.

All I can really remember about it is you started on a space station where you could travel to different rooms and interact with things. There might have been a few people you could talk to with that horrible 90's face animation. There was a tube of food paste you could eat endlessly that made a really disgusting chewing noise. The main part of the game was travelling down to the planet where you fought robots or some such. I can't remember much else, except I think the box art had giant spider looking things with bland round bodies. It might have been one of those cheapo games you'd find at K-Mart.

Hey guys, hoping you can help. Looking for a game for a friend with the following details:

Browser-Based
Literally just a map of rectangles when you start. Zero story.
You start with one square
If someone takes that square, you lose.
Real Time
Multiplayer
There were sometimes impassible walls, mainly only on the big two week maps
You also had this supply route buff thing you could get it would strengthen the troops in existing territories
If you had territories that didn't connect to the main one, they could die off.
There were mountain areas in the bigger maps. They were really hard to dig through. But there were sometimes like diamonds or something you could get out of them that you could buy buffs with.
I've been trying to look around for a bit with no luck. Any chance someone here knows?
I think we're looking for the same game.
Bump

I remember Heart of Darkness quite well, this game is older I believe, or at least it looks much older in graphical style

Hi, I hope someone can help me. This is back from the 90's. There used to be Demo CD's which sometimes had game demos and sometimes little videos of games. Well, there is this one game that I was always curious about but never got to play and never found to buy. It's a graphic adventure with futuristic scifi looks. In the video you could see some spaceships and some characters walking around. The thing that, I hope can recall someone of which game I'm talking about is that there seemed to be a mix of humanoid animals amongst the characters. I think there was this like lion headed character with like a spacesuit walking on the surface of the planet. I don't know, if anyone has any idea of what I'm takling about I would really apreciate some help! Thanks!

Hello! I used to play in CD-ROMs magazines in ~2000-2004. I used to like to play a game from a Blue cd-rom from "CD-ROM's" magazine on my country. I don't know where this magazine picked the game from. I would like to know what's the name of the game.

♦It was like 2 toons in versus mode, 1 for each player, one fully blue, and the other fully red color.
♦ The main objective is to drop/ push the other player out of the scenario.
♦ There are a ground platform, and floating platforms too.
♦ The platforms are fixed. And we can jump on them.
♦ Sometimes some Power Ups appear in the stage, so the player can get it to help him to defeat the other player.
♦ It's a 2D game and it was a Demo version.
♦ The Background is black i think, and the platforms are dark blue or gray probably. There are a lot of Blue and Black, (gray too, maybe) on the game.
♦ The players look like some kind of soldier fully colored in red, or blue. Helmets and armor.

I will thank you so much if you know it and could answer me!
BUMP!

a game i used to play on sega mega drive i think it was
all i can remember are the very cartoony style of graphics and that one part involved being inside a ship like a cruise ship i think and it was sort of filling up with water and you had to get out in time or something, rented from blockbusters way back in the day, its annoying that i cannot remember more, the only other thing i can remember was it definitely being a family friendly game, mother dear was very strict on what games i was allowed to play way back when
