Alright, so, lately I've been playing quite a bit of Chrono Trigger (Using methods I won't get into) And I have to say, I love it. The combat is a bit confusing, the story seems similar, and like so many things, I forget vital information while playing, but I still love the game (Though I'm still not that far into the game).

So, escapists, what old games have you been playing?

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Final Fantasy, II, III, IV, V, VI Advance
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
Megaman Battle Network

Yeah, I'm on quite a Gameboy Advance kick. And I know FF3 isn't on GBA, before someone tries to correct me. I threw it in with the list, though, because it's a pretty old game.

Also, your avatar made me suddenly think of Marvelous Chester.

Homeworld

Definitely up there amongst the best RTS games of all time, right alongside Starcraft II and Relic's later work, Company of Heroes.

BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend. I don't know exactly how old it is but I assume it is old enough to be called an old game.

The story is actually good, sometimes a bit confusing when they decide to throw all the big plot words at you at once but maybe you're supposed to be confused until you hit the true ending. I lol'd when I noticed Platinum has a story arc... That should be fun. Seriously what is Platinum? Did whoever leads the characer design at Arc System Works just come into work after binging on a weeks worth of lighthearted highschool anime with romance and wacky comedy elements?

I'm still playing 999 on the DS, it's pretty good but I can tell I won't go through it more than once. I'm not a fan of these escape from room with obtuse key puzzles. Y'know the whole thing the game is based around? I doubt you're supposed to get the true ending first time through but whatever.

If the original Max Payne counts, that. I'm half way through and I'd like to finish before buying Max Payne 3 in Christmas time. It's a really fun game with comic strips telling most of the story, a very nice touch.

Ratchet and Clank Going Commando, I don't know what it is about Ratchet and Clank but they seem to be generally ignored by platoform players, heck you rarely hear about Crash Bandicoot, I know his recent games were iffy but c'mon the first 3 were great.
Also playing Crash 3, fun time.

I dunno if I can put Mass Effect here, it being only about four years old, but I just finished that game an hour ago, and was blown away. I never understood the game until now, and I put that down to originally buying it on 360 and attempting to play it on a CRT. It was so much better on PC.

In all honesty I've been neglecting my old games. I've got a copy of Super Mario RPG ready to go if I can just put together enough working SNES cords, so hopefully that soon.

I've been playing through MGS2 on Euro-Extreme. Though it's on the HD collection. It's pretty difficult, I gotta say.

Also, Pokemon Gold. But I always play that in classes when I get too bored.

Been playing Geneforge a lot lately, and I have been playing a bit of Sacrifice here and there (when I can get the bloody thing to work for 5 minutes without crashing on my computer). Geneforge is pretty awesome, haven't gotten far enough into Sacrifice to tell if it is going to be any good yet. :p

i am currently playing GUN for ps2 and Scooby doo first frights also for ps2. Gun is a western game just like red dead redemption is with a very good story and gameplay.
while scooby doo is a fun platformer with a cheesy story and funny dialogues.
also planning to download secret of monkey island special edition and sherlock holmes games for my pc for some old school adventure puzzle gaming with good story

I still pop in Sonic 2 on my genesis from time to time, playing as Tails. I also fired up Dragon Warrior 4 not too long ago. I've never played that particular one and so far it's pretty fun actually. I kind of want to attempt Sentinal Worlds 1: Future Magic again but I'm waiting on a friend to ship me PC parts so I can setup another XP machine.

I might dig out Phantasy Star 4 and do an LP of it in the near future. I'm a little concerned about the batteries going out. I suppose I could hunt down a rom for it..

Although I'm playing the fan remake with much nicer graphics but still an awesome game.

I cover retro games on a website, so it's kind of my job. Lately been playing Waxworks, which is interesting for the die-hard fans of tough puzzle-games.
That sounds interesting. Where is your review website at?
