I recently have been playing a lot of older JRPGs. Past few months I've played Legend of Legaia, Wild Arms 3, and Breath of Fire 3. Right now though not particularly that old I've been playing Suikoden Tierkries on DS. With Ni No Kuni around the corner I decided to get back into Level 5 by finally playing the first Dark Cloud.

I love old games and they are mostly dirt cheap. For example I'm enjoying Dark Cloud just as much as I would enjoy a sparkly new $59.99 current gen game. I spent $5.99 for Dark Cloud.

Well depending on the definition of an old game then I've been play:
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, well recording it. ^.^
Crash Bandicoot Warped
Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy

All those I've recorded and have been uploading a bit of here and there. Don't know what's next for me.

I keep going back to Neverwinter Nights every few months. There are still loads of people playing it (persistent worlds and such), and quite a few modules still being made in addition to the hundreds (thousands, perhaps?) that are knocking around on the internet.
I did play Final Fantasy IX last week, which was fun. It's definitely my favourite of the series. I'm also trying to get through Temple of Elemental Evil, which I never finished, but it doesn't half have a slow start.

"Please enter your name, and select your shield."
"Join the army they said. See the world, they said...I'd rather be sailing."
"CHOOSE....YOUR LORD."
"Choose me, player."

See, when I say "they just don't make games like they used to", I mean it.

Recently, I've been playing Shadow Warrior.

It's absolutely great. I freaking love Lo Wang.

I recently started playing through Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door again, though I'm not sure if that would be considered an old game as it's only eight years old.

I've also been messing around with the original Sonic the Hedgehog when I feel like it. I'm absolutely terrible at the game (I don't think I've ever made it past the Marble Zone lolz), but it's pretty fun regardless.

I dunno if I can put Mass Effect here, it being only about four years old, but I just finished that game an hour ago, and was blown away. I never understood the game until now, and I put that down to originally buying it on 360 and attempting to play it on a CRT. It was so much better on PC.

In all honesty I've been neglecting my old games. I've got a copy of Super Mario RPG ready to go if I can just put together enough working SNES cords, so hopefully that soon.
I'm so jealous of you right now. I loved the ending to ME1 so much I immediately started another game after the credits ended. I played it five more times after that, and next Tuesday, I intend to get it digital on PSN just to have it again.

On a different note, I was just checking out the story behind Quantum Redshift for the original Xbox on Eurogamer. Damn that game looks good. It looks fast, like Burnout 3 fast. I might have to pick up a used copy.

I was reminded of the original Microprose Magic:the Gathering game from 1997. So I had to dig it back out. Ah, the memories.

I still pop in Sonic 2 on my genesis from time to time, playing as Tails. I also fired up Dragon Warrior 4 not too long ago. I've never played that particular one and so far it's pretty fun actually. I kind of want to attempt Sentinal Worlds 1: Future Magic again but I'm waiting on a friend to ship me PC parts so I can setup another XP machine.

I might dig out Phantasy Star 4 and do an LP of it in the near future. I'm a little concerned about the batteries going out. I suppose I could hunt down a rom for it..

It's on Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection on 360 and PS3, in HD :)

I've been playing:

Ace Attorney series
Neverwinter Nights expansions I haven't gotten to
Max Payne 1 and 2
Sacrifice (I love this game)

This thread makes me feel old. When I think of old games I think of games from the late eighties and then I realize that was over twenty years ago.

Sacrifice. Although praised highly, it still has all the same flaws as virtually everyone else whose tried RTS from this perspective (Stormrise, Brutal Legend etc, etc)

I suppose the Advance Wars games can be considered old at this point, right? Loved those games, still have them around and I still play them to this day. Sooooo much replay value.
