Came home the other day and the gf dug out my old N64 and was playing some banjo kazooie since then ive been going through load of old classics.

Currently on majora's mask (such an amazing game so so so close to being better than LoZ:OoT)

Also had a go on lylat wars, blast corps, DK64, mario kart 64 (so much better than the recent ones), and some paper mario.

Good times... Damn now im gonna have to go thank her for finding it...

Alright, so, lately I've been playing quite a bit of Chrono Trigger (Using methods I won't get into) And I have to say, I love it. The combat is a bit confusing, the story seems similar, and like so many things, I forget vital information while playing, but I still love the game (Though I'm still not that far into the game).

So, escapists, what old games have you been playing?
Emulators; calling it now.

Anyway, I suppose that's the case with just about all of my videogames. In fact, I don't think I have anything newer than Plants vs. Zombies and [Prototype]. And besides everything that came in The Orange Box, all the rest of my games are much older than that.

Lately, I've been getting back into The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time -Master Quest-, Sonic Battle, Banjo-Kazooie, and The Ultimate Doom (On the Nightmare skill level, no less, and it's the first time I've actually said that). And I suppose I should really get back into finishing Grand Theft Auto III and 007: Agent Under Fire for the first time soon.

Ah... GOG is a wonderful thing.

I'm trying to figure out Alpha Centauri. The only Civilization-esque game I'm any good at is Master of Magic.

I read a few tutorials and started up my first game: My Spartan group started off on an island with the extra-religious Believers. Relations with the Bible-humpers were cordial at first but soon turned to violence when they started asking for more and more technology. I don't deal with threats well so I politely told them to fuck off. Little did I know that the Believers had been responsible for wiping out another civilization and had put their resources to good use: by building a massive army of crappy troops. Next thing I know, my side of the continent is being flooded with soldiers. and while my boys could take on at least 5 enemies before drowning in bodies, I couldn't keep up with the increasing numbers.

yeesh...

I was browsing GOG last week and downloaded Master of Orion 2. I loved that game back in the day, I still have it on CD (was able to keep it working right up to Windows 7 came out). Sure its a little dated now, the AI was uninspired, the diplomacy functions are laughable and you get better graphics on your phone, but despite all its flaws I still love it. It has a little bit of that magic which makes a great game, and for me its still my 1# turn based strategy game of all time.

Been playing Croc for PlayStation recently(if you couldn't tell from my avatar), and a fair bit of the original Syphon Filter. I'll probably be playing a lot of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot when my brother visits for the holidays.

After I got it on a Steam sale, I replayed some of Freedom Force... Awesome game, although it has aged worst that I remembered it.

My selections are probably not really "old," though, by the changes during the past five to seven years, they aren't cutting edge anymore.

I've been bouncing around since I finished Mass Effect 3. Originally, I tried my hand at Fable: The Lost Chapters but wasn't really getting into it. I then started Star Ocean: The Last Hope and, while it took a while to realize it, started enjoying it. This weekend, after my fifth lock-up wasting an hour or so of my life each time, I decided it wasn't worth my efforts anymore.

FPSs aren't my thing, but I have begun a play-through of Halo: Combat Evolved (The original, not the anniversary edition). It's too early to tell how I feel about it.

PC-wise, I've got an ongoing play-though of Fallout on the back burner.
