I'm sure someone on here will have your answer.
And yes it does need a sequel, supreme commander didn't quite live up to it :/
2100! Thats the one. Yeah I remember it was a 2000 year of some kind >.<Mehall said:Warzone 2100
Which has had it's source code released and numerous updates made to it since you will last have played it.
EDIT: Ninja'd, but I mentioned the fact that it's open source so woo
The game YOU are looking for, Clutch-Monkey, was called (quite simply) "Z". or "ZED" if pronounced verbally.clutch-monkey said:i'm trying to remember the name for one i played waaaaay back, had red vs blue robots in it or something.
omfg that is the one!Boosted3SVT said:The game YOU are looking for, Clutch-Monkey, was called (quite simply) "Z". or "ZED" if pronounced verbally.clutch-monkey said:i'm trying to remember the name for one i played waaaaay back, had red vs blue robots in it or something.
Red and blue robots with foul mouths.. you owned a base as did they and you "captured" other stray bases along the middle of the map. The more bases you owned the faster you produced robots.. you could upgrade your bases with turrets and get your robots to get in tanks or jeeps, etc. Also had a class system with heavy robots or lighter faster ones, etc.
There was a sequel to that game, too.. though I haven't ever played it.
Total Annihilation has a spiritual successor, Supreme Commander, but the first one and its expansion, not the second, and I doubt they'll ever actually make a new one. Though Total Annihilation had expansions available if you're committed to more of it.XinfiniteX said:No idea, I only played C&C games and Total Annihilation (which by the way was AWESOME and needs a sequel now!). I'm thinking Earth 2140 http://uk.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/earth2140/index.htmlHe_Is_Legend said:The game I am looking for is an old RTS game. I've estimated that the game was released around 1995-1998. It's graphics are similiar to StarCraft and KKnD and such games of that era. No 3D, zooming or panning with the camera.
Ok, the game itself was nothing major; It featured two or three(?) races that you could choose from and they all had the same structure system as StarCraft/Red Alert; buy this factory, build this unit and so on. But, the thing that I really liked with this game, was that you could customize your units. You could customize your units from arms till feet. I don't remember if the torso or the head was changeable. The process was very like the process in the game "Metal Fatigue": you put parts on a "body" and then you accept it into the world. Pretty cool! The game was based in space on the races homeplanets I believe.
Can't be. While it had nice unit customization, it's gameplay was more like Civilization than Warcraft or KKnD. There were also more than two or three races, though in Alpha Centauri they were called factions (as only the expansion introduced playable factions that weren't human)mklnjbh said:Just a guess, but Alpha Centaurii? I haven't played it but I think it fits the era.
