Vagrant Story is a perennial favorite, when I manage to remember where I put it. The closest I've seen to something like it in recent memory is Dark/Demon's Souls.

I've been playing through Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne recently, which is about 10 years old. Doesn't feel it, though.
So have I! I'm up to the Amala Temple, but I'm trying to get through the Third Kalpa of the Labyrinth at the moment. I forgot how good this game was, might be one of my favourites of all time.
High fives all around! Nocturne is crazy awesome.

I sometimes play GBA LOTR: The Third Age on my DS Lite. I still think it's a good turn-based strategy games with a lot of options.

Also...

The Mouth of Sauron as a playable character? Heck friggin' yes.

I'm not quite that far yet. I've only just reached Asakusa, but the Red Rider is giving me grief. I think I may just go and do the obelisk before coming back to fight him. I was surprised at how quickly he demolished my team, since I had no problems at all with the White Rider. It makes me nervous about how difficult Trumpeter and the Harlot are going to be.

Well, I'm more of a retro gamer period. I play games on from the Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, PS1 + PS2, N64, Gamecube, PC, and classic xbox 90% of the time.

Currently going through several PS1 games on my Vita, such as Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid, Spyro the Dragon, and Rayman 1.

There are a shocking number of really new games in this thread...

OT: I still replay Chrono Trigger, LoZ Link to the Past, and FF 6 every year or so. Also I kinda want to replay Morrowind again sometime soon.

Dragon Age: Origins. It's a great game, even if it isn't all that old. Can't wait until they release a sequel... Also, I still can't stop playing Age of Empires II, it was the first PC game I ever bought and it's still a damn good game.
Dude dragon age 2 isn't THAT bad, actually its quite good
I can't tell if you're being serious, but I highly disagree that was it was good. It was so rushed that it felt like I was on the Autoban trying to get look at the scenery traveling but traveling as fast as I could so I keep making loops around.

It's a free download, found easily via google if you're willing to go through the hassle of compatibility troubleshooting.

Im being serious, I liked it, I liked the way it was laid out as told through the eyes of the dwarf, I liked that it built up to the next game, I didn't mind that it didn't start out with some world ending thing hovering over my head, it was a change from origins (which I also liked I will point out). I WONT like it if they fail to build on that with inquisition but on the whole I liked 2

Far Cry 2 (2008)
F.E.A.R. (2005)

You know why? Because there hasn't been a game to rival the AI in either of those games yet. They're fun to fight against. Not simply targets in a shooting gallery.

I still play San Andreas. It will always be the best GTA in the franchise in my opinion.

I also play the first two Max Paynes. The second one being my favorite.

Sometimes I'll go on a Half-Life marathon where I play both HL: Source and HL2.

I am currently replaying all of the spellforce series (Well except Faith in Destiny, because that one's shit).
Just so much fun althoug it's quite sad when you realize that the spellforce series is one of the only rts games that actually tried something new.

I play Tetris on my phone and Sid Meier's Alpha Centuri (1999) on my computer. If you think TF2 counts then that too. But what's old? I have 100 steam games. Does AoE 2 HD count?

It's safe to say the majority of my gaming involves games that are from 2007 and under. I play each Zelda game for example at least once a year, sometimes twice for certain ones, most of those are older. I spend much more time replaying games than playing new releases. I have so many old games, I don't want too many gathering dust.

Hogs of War
Mercenaries
Driver 2
Populous The Beginning
Earthbound
Final Fantasy VII
Metal Gear Solid 3

I still go back back and play these games from time to time. Sure some of them look really dated now (seriously Driver 2 looks like it was made with cardboard cut outs) but I still think they some of the best fun you can have with video games, even after all these years.

A game from 2000 or 2001 where you could chose between a cowboy, an indian, or a Mexican. Then you would build your population and also your fighters. You could only have 100 for your population. You had to have works to chop wood and people to grow crops. Also your fights could steal gold from the other teams. Trappers could go out and shot buffalo for more food. Anybody remember this one?
