Bass battle? Must have this game! Can't wait to see the barbarian and the dwarf pick up their axes and getting funky together. ;)

Anyway, mine was Duke Nukem 3D Life's A Beach
Anyway, I recently fired up Fallout 2 on my PC.

I played Doom 2 again a few days ago. Released in 1994 and I still think it's the most balanced single player FPS game I've ever played. And the best FPS game ever made.

I'm currently working my way through Quest for Glory I. The game was originally released in '89, but I'm playing the '91 VGA re-release. I also played through the first Eye of the Beholder (1990) before Grimrock was released last month.

Most of my old games are on 3,5 inch floppies, but I haven't had a working FDD in years, so I can't really play any of them. Thank the heavens for GOG.

Either FIFA '12 or AFL Live. I'm not sure witch one came out first. Probably FIFA.

EDIT - Oh, wait! Minecraft, as long as the betas count.

Just started playing MediEvil (1998) again. I'm really enjoying the Henry Selick/Tim Burton-esque feeling that the game has.

Probably Balloon Fight, the copy I got for my 3DS Ambassador thing. Awesome game, I don't know why we haven't seen more of it.

I will play the Jak series again before the year is out, I have a MIGHTY need, but my games are in storage. :( So when I get them out...it'll be those, apart from that I play Sonic 3 every now and then, to keep my impressively sad skill on it limber.

LADDER for either the DoS or earlier.

But that was like last month, latest this week is Cubivore. Such a great thing, but sucks that it didn't have a better reception and leave the Cult Classic section of most people's libaries.

Just (re)bought Thief and Thief II on Steam. Fuck yeah! Lord Bafford's manor never gets old.
I saw those on sale today and I freaked out. I think I'll replay II tomorrow.

I'm going through Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast right now. It holds up pretty well if you ignore the terrible jumping puzzles.

Lately, because of the kickstarter it reminded me of Carmageddon (1997)! so, I've been playing that more often than not... forgot how fun it was... Either way, I managed to dig-up the CD and it still worked! Dosbox FTW

Other than that I boot up the SNES to play Yoshi's Island every now-and-then... Still awesome...

I have my Megadrive hooked up to my PC monitor so that gets regular plays. Recently played through Splatterhouse 2 (1992) and Gynoug (1992) which was called Wings of Wor in the states for some reason.

For any younger gamers interested in getting into older gaming, the Megadrive (Genesis) is a good bet. The game does have some games exclusive to Japan (and a few at ridiculously high prices) but there are still a load of games that shine today that you will be able to find easily.

Xenogears; tried to get through it before Xenoblade Chronicles came out, but that failed (Im not even sure of a correlation beyond the title at this point).

Good choice though, OP. Legaia was a favorite of mine. Hope you like(d) it too.

I've been playing a lot of ghost recon lately. (the very first one from 2001)and I still think it was one of the nicest games I ever played.
But the oldest must be age of empires (also the very first one) that I played over LAN with a friend recently.

I played "Legends of Grimrock", got fed up with it, and switched to this goldie from '91.
