Tales of Phantasia on the GBA. I got to a dungeon pretty late in the game, got lost in what was essentially a giant maze and by the time I got back to playing it so much time had passed that I decided to start over. Then I just keep playing it in short bursts, stop playing for months, and then start over again.

I also haven't played Dragon Age in a couple months. I got to Whitherfangs fortress, got my ass kicked by a mini-boss and haven't had the desire to really play it since then. But I still want to finish it.

FFVII, FFXII, FFIX (although, I only did, like, one battle in that one), Legends of Dragoon, any pokemon game up to Ruby (also, I bought Pearl, but only got passed the first gym leader before I got bored with it), Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Harvest Moon (does that have an end?), Kingdom Hearts...

I have a really bad habit of starting a game and then never finishing it, or finishing it 5-10 years after I started it.

Edit: Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker... although it's not my fault I never finished it, I let my (now ex) boyfriend borrow it and never got it back...

The oldest that i still need to beat are FFVII and FFVIII. Got to the temple of the ancients in VII and got bored and/or distracted. Got to the beginning of disc 3 in VIII and couldn't find the white SeeD ship, so i stopped.

Newer games:
Brutal Legend - Always get raped on the stage battle with Ophelia.

Tales of Vesperia - Got close to the end (maybe???), they stole Estelle, and i ran out of healing items.

Lost Odyssey - Got to disc 3 where you run around as seth in the sewers doing puzzles and got bored.

Dragon Age - still need to recruit dwarves and everything else after that.

My oldest games that I still mean to beat go back to the NES days.
I'd like to beat Super Mario Bros 3 with no warping, for instance.

But games I never beat: Maniac Mansion, Castlevania III, Zelda II, Vice Project Doom and Star Tropics.
And I fully intent to beat them at some point...

Final Fantasy 8 (PS1)
My favorite. And the one I plan on finishing after 13.
!!! Seriously? I thought I was the only one! I hope you aren't being sarcastic, because if so, you've outed me.

OT: Star Ocean:The Last Hope. I get to the end, start finishing off the sidequests, and find out I have to switch discs every time I switch planets. It made the gathering go twice as long. I'll get back to it eventually.
Nah. 8's my favorite.

Well then that makes two of us I guess. All I ever hear from people is how horrible 8 was. I just hide my face in shame when people trash on 8, because it was the one I liked best.
