I never managed to beat the final boss in FF9.

Mt friend did, so I know the ending, but I never actually finished it myself.
Same goes for FF12. I still WANT to finish it, but the damn story is just so boring.
Put gems into everything that's an anti-condition, that way the characters will barely recieve anything. Also, when attacking, holy is an excellent spell to spam.
Mhmm... I might try this and the Regen tip I got earlier.
Could I finally cross FF9 off of my Things-to-do-before-I-Die list?

If I can find a copy, then the top of my list would be Jet force Gemini. I was talking about it recently and I realized I never beat the final boss as a child. Same with Gex: Enter the the Gecko.Well I know what I need to go look for now.
Jet Force Gemini was so amazing, but at one point i got confuzed on where I was supposed to go and finally just gave up. So I feel your pain.

Damn... I don't think I can let myself buy any new games for a while now. Trying to think of what the oldest would be made me realise just how damn many unfinished games I own...

My N64 was the first console I ever bought (I have a snes and nes but they're off ebay, years later) so I guess it would be Jet Force Gemini. I'd rate JFG as one of my favourite games of all time, and I never finished it... Excuse me while I go wallow in shame...

EDIT: Heh, and that makes three for JFG. For me it was one Tribal I could never find on SS Anubis, which meant I could never get to the final boss. This was back before I knew of the existance of GameFAQs, so eventually I gave up.

EDIT Again: Actually, I have one older than JFG that I just remembered. Star Wars for the Game Boy. It got to the point where I could get through the entire game without losing a life (the game has no save system, just lots of continues) but I just could not do the final Death Star trench run level. I haven't tried to beat it in years but now I just have to.

I hear rumours that Tetris can be completed? So that, probably.
If not, Half Life 2 or Psychonauts, whichever's older...

I finally called bullshit on the game and canned it after (right before finding the lab) your teammate starts jerking around all over the place, so I tested him and he passed, then 5 steps on he turns into a monster. I get pissed off, PS2 gets switched off, broken piece of shit gets to FUCK OFF.
Yeah, it does that a few times during the game, much like Bioshock 2's Big Sister attacks, they can happen anywhere but not anytime, still scripted events regardless of how much the devs tell us they're not...and if you attack the character that you know is gonna turn into a "thing" then your other buddies give you some nice new bloody bullet holes for your trouble...it is broken...but I must finish IT!

Oblivion. Love the theives guild and the dark brotherhood, but there was one theives guild mission that would get me kicked out from the mages guild, so I was planning on getting chameleon. And then I just... stopped playing it. I dunno why, I just did. Oh, I guess I should also get around to doing more than 4 of the main story quests aswell.

I'm so close in Baldur's Gate. And yet, what's the point? It's Baldur's Gate. Playing it feels like wiring a circuitboard through trial and error.
