I'd have to say religion (and the people who worship- at least the die hard ones), since they base their beliefs on old scrolls, that is more likely than not pure fiction, and is usually not even a good read, by most standards.
Did I push it with this one? *Puts on flame-shield and prays(the irony) the mods won't intervene*
Marry me...
I mean...um...yeah...
2012 is a bunch of bull. Every 50 years, since the 'birth of christ', the devil (satan, beelzebub, the lord of hell...) was supposed to come to Earth and destroy. I see no satan roaming this Earth, forever purging it into the rivers of molten lava that is hell. It hasn't happened, it won't happened and if you believe it will...contact me in forty years so I can rub it in your face.
Y2K was supposed to make the world turn OFF. It...didn't happen. MIRACULOUSLY!
And as for 2012, the Mayan calendar ending and all that good bull****...the Mayan's were too busy getting their asses handed to them to be making calendars!!!!
The only thing that could possibly make 2012 happen are the idiots that believe in it. They'll riot, burn, kill, loot...hopefully not in that order (pillage THEN burn...dumbasses) and more than likely cause any if not ALL of the damage possible. I wouldn't be surprised if their were billions of casualties due to some lunatics sci-fi fantasy of what will never happen.
Asteroids hitting the Earth however...
Just kidding.
