I've never played (what is it, Half-Life?) but I'll take a stab at Freeman. His first spoken words would be "Huh. Didn't realise I could do this." (referring to talking.)

He's a middle aged man with very pale skin, brown eyes, brown greying hair and he's going slightly bald. He's also 45 by the time of Halo 3.

Which is all a bit of an anticlimax really.

If Gordon Freeman had a voice it would ruin it for me, I always imagined him simply staring out in dumb horror from the moment of the resonance cascade.
