All right, you know what I always wanted? Well, thanks for asking! I always wanted to see what Oblivion was like with the Shivering Isles add on. Well, today I decided to pursue my dreams and look for the fucker.
And you know what's strange? Apparently this add on is actually worth more than Oblivion. How does that make any fucking sense O:? The average worth of Oblivion alone is around 12 - 14 depending on where you buy. For the latter lets use Gamestop as an example, shall we?
So, yeah, $14. And here's how much the GOTY edition costs -
thirty fucking four dollars. Now, I'm not the best at math but I do know for damn sure that the part of the game that costs 14 dollars isn't the expensive halve of the game. Let me clarify -
Oblivion, an entire game, costs 14 dollars meanwhile Shivering Isles which is an add on that adds a few new content is 18 dollars.
Of course though you're probably not quite convinced. Well, all right, fine. Then here's my beatiful ugly truths: (I love how absolutely ironic that came out) According to a quick google search in a lot of places you can get Oblivion for $12 dollars. So I thought maybe I should try buying Oblivion alone and download Shivering from PSN . . .
And apparently, that's worse. It costs around $29 for shivering isles. Do I really need to go on by this point? I think it's been fairly established that I'm fucked. Either I pay 34$ (And that's forgetting the tax) for a game that should probably be only worth 26 dollars (14 + 12 if I'm feeling kind) or 22 dollars. (12+10)
Or, you know, I could pay for Oblivion alone ($12) and buy shivering isles seperately ($29 dollars, what the fuck?!) which comes to a maximum of around 41 dollars. I am baffled, why is it that in all these instances shivering costs more? And for a poor little cheap skate like my self with little to no more money do you know some good places where I could get a better deal?
Preferably one where the DLC is actually cheaper than the bloody game.
Discussion value -
Well, besides helping a poor soul out maybe you can enlighten and educate me as of why the DLC is so bloody expensive.
