you can play guitar hero/rock band is you strum with your elbow. it's really hard though. you can also play plenty of wii games, but i doubt you'd sink that low (comment refers only to crappy shovelware that is played by waving the remote around so do not quote this and be angry)

Try UFO: Alien Invasion for a turn-based game. It's not very high production (you'll notice what I mean soon enough) But it's a pretty cool game. Best of all is it's totaly free :D.

Been playing the hell out of it lately.

Time to bust out the roguelikes. Crawl, Elona, Desktop Dungeons, DoomRL would be good places to start if you don't already play roguelikes.

I hear Rapelay only requires one hand.

But seriously your in luck my friend. Nows the time to head over to GOG and get ahold of the SpaceQuest and KingsQuest collections. Don't go to steam thoose are buggy and require alot of knowhow to get working. Also look for the Monkey Island games. The first two have been remastered. Then go and pick yourself up a copy of UFO: Enemy unknown.
Holy nostalgia trip Batman, I loved those games as a kid, how'd I miss this comment on the first pass.

Masturba- ooh... my bad...

Try some simple RPGs, my recommendation would be Recettear. You could also do a MMO

Heroes of Might and Magic (all of them)

Kingdom of Loathing (excellent browser game)

Almost anything on Kongregate.com, I go there for a lot of mini-games and the like.

Forza/Gran Turismo as pretty easy to play one handed. Sometimes when I'm lazy I just do some casual drifting with one hand.

So long story short. I broke my right (dominant) arm.

Does anyone have any suggestions for games I can play with just my left hand?

Obviously strategy and turn based roleplaying would be high on that list. Some fun little plat formers would be nice too. If you think it can be played well one handed please mention it.

Civ5 has been getting a workout, but looking for something more.
Civ5? That's kind of a weird name. Most people pick something a bit more masculine.

any of the first 7 Final Fantasy games can be played with one hand. I know cause I have extreme lazy nights, where i want to put in less effort than I already do.

I was in a similar situation a couple of weeks ago. Cut my right palm open quite deep and had to have stitches.

I got really into text-based games like Echo Bazaar (mentioned on Extra Credits). You should have a look, and that goes for anyone!

Hope you arm gets better soon.
I had thought of that but had forgotten the the name, thanks.

Bit late I know, but if you have an Xbox, I'd suggest the indie game Solar. It's incredibly simple, but is actually a lot of fun.
