By firing a Mauser K98k even slightly wrong can 1) dislocate your shoulder 2) break your collar bone 3) Break 3 ribs 4) cause a bruise large enough to be lethal 5) crumple a lung. Or if you're in luck all at the same time! Win a bonus pirze by deafening yuorself by holding your head wrong.

I've done 1) and almost 4). I was very young then. Won't happen again, that's for sure.

Nintendo wasn't the first video game company to exist, but it was the first one to have major success.

And Samus Aran is still the only real female protagonist.

Hmm, interesting facts. Well, let's see. Did you know that if you keep clicking on the avatars of units in Starcraft makes them more and more irritated? Repeatedly clicking on the Protoss scout thing (it's been a looooong time since I played), it will seem to start picking up random radio transmissions, and one of them is the old lady from the village in Diablo.

Mr.Mayamoto got the name for Mario and Luigi from the pizza shop " Mario And Luigis" that was down the street from the old nintendo building.
At least thats how i remember it.

Incorrect. Mario was named after Nintendo of America's landlord, who gave them an extension on their rent right before Donkey Kong was released. They re-named Jumpman after him in recognition.

Pac-Man was going to be called Puck-Man, but they changed it when they saw the obvious opportunity for scratching out a part of the 'P'.

Repeat thread is repeated...

Nintendo used to make cards, but everyone knows that.

Erm... did you know that I don't know a lot about games?
Nintendo also means "Leave Luck to Heaven".

The concept of Left 4 Dead was born when the guys at Turtle Rock studios (who worked with Valve to make bots for Counter-Strike) realized it was a lot of fun to only let the bots use knives, put them all on one team, and massively outnumber the human players.

On-Topic : Did you know that in order to raise money to be able to finish making EvE:Online the people behind the game made up a board game called "Hættuspilið" (literally "the danger board game"). The guys who made the board game are now the Creative Director of CCP and CFO of CCP.

In the original Warcraft, if you clicked on the alliance's wizard too many times, he'd lightning bolt the screen.

Oh, thank you so much, I hate it when people say it is, it's not. I always wonder if people who say that actually played the game to the end...
