For those who got into Magic The Gathering a few years back, there was a booster pack released whose name slips my mind but asked a very intriguing question.

'If you could cast only one spell for the rest of your life, which spell would it be?'

Choose from anything. No matter the source. From Diablo to D&D to gaming. So? Which would it be?

Wish.

Pretty simple really. As long as the DM isn't harsh lol.

Failing that Greater Invisibility or Overland Flight would be quite handy as well.

Something medical.. like a Heal spell.
Even if its the only thing i could do, it's useful and could make me money £__£

alchemy - from fullmetal alchemist..... technically it's all just breaking down and recreating matter. If I had to pick just one type, flame alchemy cause nothing's more awesome than blowing up your enemies by clicking your fingers.

In a world of destrucive motives, one of the following two:
SECTUMSEMPRA!! Nonverbal, of course.
The ability to wield my Soul Sword.

In this current locale:
Telekinesis, plain and simple.

There is the perverted temptation of Invisibility magic but I'd probably want to go with a healing spell like Full Heal or Curaja. If I'm going to have a healing spell it might as well be a high end one.

Some form of constant use regeneration spell, so whenever I die, I get back up again. Forever and ever and ever...

Probably teleportation or time control. Unless I can pull a Hiro and do both (not sure if it counts as a spell though).

For practical reasons? Heal, from D&D. Heals wounds and cures pretty much any normal illness or affliction.

For taking-over-the-world reasons I'd go with some form of mass mind control.
