Reddit.

Because I have too much spare time and too bad working morale.

On a more serious note:
Enjoyable.

Yes, I'm going to be that guy.
I do well enough, have good friends,I am on good or at least neutral terms with everyone, including the teachers, and I know that if given complete freedom I wouldn't do anything useful with my life. It also helped spark my will to write.

Bummer. School and everything about it is a serious bummer. All types of it felt more like an asinine pay-less job then a change to learn, grow, make friends and mature.

Not.

As in not having sex. not going on dates, not making friends, not succeeding or not enjoying myself...

Sleep.
Or rather the a lack of sleep. As a nightperson I never got enough of it while I was in school.

You sound a lot like myself.

To the people who say something along the lines of "idiots", (you should have) give(n) the people a chance, you might actually (have) like(d) them.

Which one?
I mean, I still call Uni school, and if I had to describe that in one word it'd be:
"Awesome."
Two would be:
"Pretty Awesome."
And three would be
"Pretty Fucking Awesome."

As for secondary school? I don't know, "Crazy" perhaps, or "Crazy-Days" if I'm allowed that as one word.

College I don't remember anything other than "Academic", and there were too many primary schools to count...

"Homework", I'm pretty sure that goes hand in hand with school.
I was going to say "Depression", but that might not be the case with everyone.
the latter really doesn't.

As for homework, i propose a better substitute. Busywork. It seems like so much of what we are doing in school is meant just to keep us busy, or over-reinforcing something (i.e, excesses of work in the math textbook. mandatory note taking of entire chapters, in a level of detail that borders on re-writing every paragraph that contains even a smack of important information etc.).

Now, im not saying homework is useless. it is nigh impossible to learn any complex math without some practice doing problems, and if the teacher is explaining things in class, you dont have much time to just sit and do a few on your own. For most other subjects however, there is little reason for it.

tedious, easy, irritating, disagreeable.

the first two go together because I feel the work is too easy but I get so much of it that it really tires me out.

irritating is having to wake up at 5 to get on a bus that gets to the stop at 6 to go to a school that starts at 7 me and mornings never get along.

disagreeable is a big one, high school is all about being social right? well take an antisocial person like me who hates talking to people and put them in that situation and see how much you like it.

Future.

The word applies in two ways:
1) School is a place where we prepare for what's to come in life (or at least a big part of it), and while it may be tedious and scary sometimes, it really is for our benefit.
2) For me, school is never really gonna be out. I'm nearing the end of my university studies, and then I'm going to start my teaching career; school is, quite literally, my future, and I'm looking forward to it. :D

I don't think there's a single word, but here in America:
"We don't know what to do with our children while parents go to work".
School is literally a prison where you are incarcerated and released from every day.
And I say this as a Valedictorian.

"Tedious"

The courses are interesting, but the work required to keep up can get insane sometimes.

Tolerate. As in, I had to tolerate school until I could leave.
