Have you ever heard about honor killings? [http://politicalvelcraft.org/2009/11/23/socialist-billionaires-using-islamic-barbarians-to-cause-chaos-in-america-islam-killing-maiming-islams-for-centuries/]

WARNING, violent images in the link. Including pictures of people that have had acid pourn on their face You have been warned!

"The main reasons are because they dared to reject someone in marriage or because they wanted a divorce. The 'jilted' suitors (or husbands) took their revenge in this fashion. If he can?t have her, no man will"

So maybe you should just walk away before you do something that can get her punished. Considering you may not know much about her family, future husband, and whatnot.
i'm not dat crazy at all now
Good, so maybe even though you didn't ask for our help it was worth it?

........
You just renewed my hatred of Islam.
Judging a whole religion based on the actions of few?

Aren't you the same person that dislikes it when people automatically associate Fascism with Nazism?
[sub]You should have known I was going to do this. You can't hook me up with these openings and not expect me to take advantage of them.[/sub]

Well now...I'm not one to advocate revenge or mindless mob violence, I detest the idea of vengeance.

I'm telling myself that very hard now believe me. Some things are just wrong regardless of culture, where is the 'honour' in doing that exactly?
Whatever perceived honor they get from it. The honor of their daughter not marring an infidel? I couldn't explain it since I don't understand it.

But I wouldn't blame the entire culture for this, lots of Muslims find these practices unacceptable and outdated.

Kind of like how a lot of Christians don't prove of the Westboro Church

I don't really trust this whole "online love" thing...I think it's kind of dumb to love someone that is so far away from you.

I never take any kind of friendship I make online seriously.

That is, seriously, in the sense of making it a real life friendship. And because most of them are from across the country. Just won't happen

Anyway, no, I haven't fallen in love on the internet. I've made friends on the internet, but I think love is going just a bit too far, especially considering how much it affects your life.

In your case, I have a feeling that it wasn't really true love. I think just forget about it.
Never found love... but what about... *sniff*... me?

No, because you can not fall in love through the internet. No matter the hours your "talked" through text, no matter the hours you looked at one another through a web cam.

You can't be in love.

I'm not saying you can not get a mutual interest in one another, I'm not saying you can not meet a girl/boyfriend through the internet, I'm just saying that you can not love someone you only know through text, video and perhaps skype. Just not gonna happen.

I once married someone on runescape but then she got banned so I never talked to her again. Oh, and I was 14 at the time. I'm 18 now.

Why not? If it's their character, and image that you fall in love with.

Look at the above examples of people who've done that, then gotten married and had kids!

Finnaly someone else on this site who knows how most girls work, sorry if I hurt anyones feelings by saying this but;

The nice guy act works to an extent.
You might have the attention of the girl you like but that doesn't mean she's gonna make the move, somewhere deep in the subconscious of everyones mind there is that one guy yelling, GUYS HAVE TO MAKE THE FIRST MOVE.
Also if you don't have the attention of the person you like, just introduce yourself. If the person you like then acts like a jerk to you by ignoring you, you'll know she/he isn't someone to be liked and they don't deserve your affection.

And as a side note, if any girls are reading this, do the rest of the world a favour and tell your friends to make the first move on guys they like :p

(ramble ramble ramble angry fist ramble ramble)
Wait... What?!

What are you on about? None of that is relevant to the topic. Please be quiet.

OT:
No. Made several friends, and one of my best irl mates I met playing Counter-Strike. Me and three of my friends need the last player in our clan, so we hooked up with several random guys - until we stumbled upon that one. He's awesome. I'm still more skilled than he is, though.

Love, though, to keep it on topic; I repeat: No. I've flirted(or should I say "tried flirting") with just about every chick I've met online, even had quite a few webcamming-sessions, but no - not love.

Umm, I met somebody at a Texas statewide acting convention who I thought was cool and got involved with her later using internet and text. I wouldn't just be with someone who I'd only met online though, how do you know if they're even who they are.

Currently in this boat...

Met a girl on WoW about two years ago, great friend and we just talked on vent and raided together ALOT. I enjoy being with her more than any girl I've met in real life... I got her to play TF2 with me and I recently learned shes actually just a few hours away from me! We're going to try to meet up at some point.

How can one marry and have kids without meeting one another? That's the point I'm trying to make. I'm not doubting you can not meet a potential partner on the internet, I'm saying you can not fall in love solely on, in and through the internet.

I'm sure someone already said this but, on the internet all girls are men and all kids are FBI agents.

No, I don't see how you can fall in love with someone you've never actually met.

i met a girl on playstation we talked on both playstation and Facebook
we were friends for a couple of months then we fell in love but i recently found she will be getting married so that was a kicked in the pants and the teeth
i want to know have any of you fallen in love online and have you ever met up with that person and/or became more
heh, never fall for online love, someone always gets hurt, and its just dumb to do, long distace relationships that were NEVER anything else, are totally different once you bring them to a physical level.
