My favorite band is the Moody Blues. I first heard the song "Forever Autumn", sung by Justin Hayward (the lead singer) when listening to an album he helped Jeff Wayne with in the 70's. (The album was "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds"). Then I looked up the Moody Blues on Youtube and heard the song "Your Wildest Dreams" and I was hooked.

My favourite band is Megadeth, and I discovered them because a friend of mine left his Rust in Peace CD in my CD player and I thought "eh, why not." I fucking love that album so much.

It switches ever once in a while. My current favorites are Rise Against, Bad Religion, NoFX, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Dropkick Murphys, and the World Inferno Friendship Society.

My dad played classic rock bands like them as far back as i can remember. I grew up listening to bands like Boston, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, and of course Rush.
When I got to the age where I started to understand music, Rush, for me, stood above the rest.
There also one of the best live bands......

Scale the Summit was discovered through last.fm after I searched for Between the Buried and Me, which I saw someone mention on Ultimate Guitar.

My favorite band right now is Four Year Strong. I was introduced to them by my ex-girlfriend, and I've loved listening to them ever since. My other favorite band, Pearl Jam, was discovered after a lengthy breakup with another ex. So yeah, music lets me drown my sorrows. XD

My favorite band is Evanescence. I discovered them when I got up early one morning when I was 12 and turn on VH1 Jump Start (which they just show a bunch of music videos) and I saw there music video for Bring Me to Life and I was hooked.
Pearl Jam is definatley one of my favorites. I found them through that misheard lyrics video for Yellow Ledbetter.
Another is The Shins, and I found them in Garden State.
