Opinions on rain?

It just started to thunderstorm here and, since I'm desperate for a topic of discussion at the moment, I started to wonder about others opinions on rain. This isn't a poll so feel free to express your individual opinion without having to conform to a premade option

Personally, I think rain, even thunderstorms, is soothing and potentially romantic. I remember not too long ago my boyfriend and I stood together in front of a window watching lightning strike between clouds. I love to listen to and watch rain fall. It's only when it's a light drizzle or such that I dislike rain. When it's that light it's just annoying :\

So, if you happen to have an opinion on rain, I can't think of any better place to say it than here!

I love rain. It is my favorite type of weather. It is somehow relaxing and energizing at the same time. And sitting there, watching the intermittent lightning strikes between the cloud is just hypnotizing.

I love the rain, it just sucks it next to never happens here.

It makes for great sleeping weather, and it's also great for reading a book and enjoying some hot tea, or wine, or quite frankly whatever I have in my liquor cabinet.

The only thing that I find annoying about rainstorms is when it's during the day and I have a ton of things to do, it's quite inconvenient really.

In the coastal New Zealand town i live it rains most of the year. I love the rain, especially at night. It makes everything so clean looking and shiny.

I've always liked rain and really cloudy days in general. It's raining were I live right now as I type this post and it's wonderfully soothing. Maybe one day I'll be able to flee this place and find some where nice and rainy to settle down.

We had a really heavy storm here earlier today. It was heavy, heavy, HEAVY! Sounded like the house was driving through a car wash. The storm cut our cable for about 10 minutes too. No thunder though which I found a bit strange. As for rain in general though, and thunderstorms, I love them! I haven't really driven in a storm yet but, I love listening to rain and, storms. I also find them romantic and soothing and great weather for indoor tea-drinking and mustache twirling.

I like rain, but I don't like being in the rain.
I enjoy staying inside, listening to it, and smelling the cool, crisp air. I don't like thunderstorms however, too loud and keeps my dogs barking the whole time.
Which is good because I live in Washington, and it rains ~300 day out of the year here, but almost never has thunderstorms, only strong winds.

I live in semi-arid chaparral, right next to a pair of deserts. I love rain, and overcast skies in general; it means the sun isn't going to be blaring, and the air will be cooler and fresher.

The only time I ever came to dislike rain was being in Japan during the summer, when it could rain at literally any moment while having absolutely no effect on the (humidity-enhanced) hot temperature.

I love the rain so much, to the point that I don't mind getting caught in it and humming corny songs to it! The anticipation when you can smell it in the air, the fantastic midtones of an overcast day, the feel of cold cold rain that chills you with every drop, awww yeah...

About the only thing I hate about it is when you're expecting a nice thunderstorm on a hot day because it's been forecasted, but it only rains for a few minutes, just long enough to get you muggy and wet! Living in Florida means this happens a lot, unfortunately...

I love the rain, well when it actually does rain. Oh and it needs to be raining water, not ash like it usually does this time of year. I live in Southern California and we get the weather from the Mojave at times which sucks. When it does rain here though it will rain for day 10 minutes then stop, and then it will rain for another 10 minutes again. So basically I love the rain, the reason being because it rarely rains around here.

I LOVE RAIN! You're spot on too, rain and storms are very Romantic, and I remember many a sweet walk in the rain with my ex. Hopefully more to come soon with a new girl to romance. =)

So yeah, rain I love... the golfball-sized spiky hailstones that put dents all over my car on the weekend I probably could have done without though.

(Also, played football in the rain on monday. Loved it.)

I can do you one better.

I enjoy the rain a lot. Not as much as Pinkie Pie up there, but it's some of my favorite weather. It's the smell of rain.

Rain is my favorite weather, even if I'm out in it. It gives me an excuse to wear a jacket of some kind, which is nice because I just like wearing jackets and clear weather usually makes that annoying. I actually feel more awake on rainy days, as well.
