I live in Oregon. I'm cool with rain.
Exactly. In the Pacific Northwest, it rains all of the time. We don't come in anywhere near the top 10 rainiest cities in the country, but that's because we don't have hurricanes that just monsoon massive amounts of rain for four months out of the year then quit and give us hot, humid crap days for the rest of it.
Here it rains almost every day from late September 'til about June. Then summer's usually spotted with the occasional shower
(the past two years notwithstanding).
I don't care about the weather, but tons of idiots around here whine
constantly about the rain. Guess what? We live next to a fucking ocean in the northern hemisphere. Move to Arizona if you love your fucking sun so much.
I don't get these idiots. It's much easier to warm up than it is to cool down. This climate is temperate and preferable. It's also very comfortable.
The only thing that truly sucks about rain around here is the traffic: people can't drive when it rains. Giant portions of the road need to be supported by massive springs to just chuck these morons into the nearest ditch. It is one of the most frustrating things on the planet and it will sadly never change.
And really? Some of you care about getting wet? I could understand if that impacted you professionally or you were somehow allergic to water, but the "Omg, yuck! I'm wet!" bullshit just does not make sense.
