As another said, I love severe weather.

Not too severe... No tornadoes. But a heavy thunderstorm, thick snow (3 and a half feet thick, none of this pansy 4 inches), heavy winds. It fascinates me. As long as my shit isn't being wrecked of course.

And it has to stop eventually... 5 days of rain sucks.

Every manifestation of nature's elements = wonderful.
However there's also "distance" variable somewhere in this equation. :)

Well i'm cool with rain - sort of have to be, i lived in the 2nd wettest place on the planet for 11 years - Milford sound NZ, around 8 meters or 24 feet of rain a year. can be a bit much when it rains for weeks non stop or very heavy like an inch an hour or 220mm rain an hour.

I love rain. Especially when accompanied by thunder and lightning. It's quite calming to me. And everyone else in my family hates it, which seems to make me like it all the more.

The one draw back to it though is I can get headaches when theres a drop in the barometer. But it happens less frequently than it did when I was younger.

I love rain. It is my favorite type of weather. It is somehow relaxing and energizing at the same time. And sitting there, watching the intermittent lightning strikes between the cloud is just hypnotizing.

And if it isn't raining where you are, you can go here for all your rain-sound-effect related needs!

Ninja. I currently have http://www.rainymood.com/ on. I actually have had it open for 3 days. I have no plan of closing it.

I had it on the other day while it was actually raining, because the real rain was too quiet.

I like rain. I grew up in the northern end of Australia where there is no Summer, Spring, Autumn and Winter. Only Wet season (6 months) and Dry season (also, 6 months).

Rain has always been awesome.

I live in mid-Wales. It rains at least 200 days a year. Rain, for me, is the base weather from which all other weather derives from.

In the coastal New Zealand town i live it rains most of the year. I love the rain, especially at night. It makes everything so clean looking and shiny.
It also smells nice. In Queensland (across the ditch) we get summer storms. I love them; they are amazing!

Exactly. In the Pacific Northwest, it rains all of the time. We don't come in anywhere near the top 10 rainiest cities in the country, but that's because we don't have hurricanes that just monsoon massive amounts of rain for four months out of the year then quit and give us hot, humid crap days for the rest of it.

Here it rains almost every day from late September 'til about June. Then summer's usually spotted with the occasional shower (the past two years notwithstanding).

I don't care about the weather, but tons of idiots around here whine constantly about the rain. Guess what? We live next to a fucking ocean in the northern hemisphere. Move to Arizona if you love your fucking sun so much.

I don't get these idiots. It's much easier to warm up than it is to cool down. This climate is temperate and preferable. It's also very comfortable.

The only thing that truly sucks about rain around here is the traffic: people can't drive when it rains. Giant portions of the road need to be supported by massive springs to just chuck these morons into the nearest ditch. It is one of the most frustrating things on the planet and it will sadly never change.

And really? Some of you care about getting wet? I could understand if that impacted you professionally or you were somehow allergic to water, but the "Omg, yuck! I'm wet!" bullshit just does not make sense.

My opinion varies.

Thunderstorms are intense. I see nothing romantic about them at all but you can bet they're just prime for all kinds of dramatic tension.

I guess I just find it fascinating. Even when I know that it's raining, sometimes I'll just stare out my window or the screen door and just watched the rain fall. The harder, the more hypnotizing.

I'm British so rain is part of my identity.

Do like a good storm, fun just to watch nature do its thing. I remember watching an offshore storm on a ferry in the East China Sea, that was a feast for the senses.

Rain and lightning are awesome.

Thunder is scary.

Yes, I'm aware that this is counter to logic, as rain and lightning are actually dangerous whereas thunder is just a loud noise.
