and you totally get eating by grues, its dark down in the bottomless pit, so yeah grues eat you just before you hit the floor of the bottomless pit.
Come to think of it, there were growling noises coming from one of the bottomless pits :O

characters seem to understand that he does 'What's your name?... Cpl. Shepherd, huh?'
I thought that was because is name was printed on his powervest and uniform.
This, too, makes sense.
I guess he used those radios with morse code.

I think Freeman, Shephard and Barney spoke in the games. Valve just saved money by not hiring voice actors made it so that the player decides what they say. Or something.

I never quite liked Opposing Force all that much. I much preferred Blue Shift. I don't know what bugged me about OF... can't quite put my finger in it. But I never enjoyed it all that much. And I didn't like the new Xenites either.

I thought Blue Shift was better than Half Life. It was short, but I think with the Half Life 1 pack I got it off of Steam with, it was worth it.

I mean, Half Life 1 really did drag on quite a bit, and did not have a conclusive ending. It still was pretty good of course, don't get me wrong.

I thought Opposing Force was better than the original Half-Life. I couldn't get more than maybe an hour past the opening of Half-Life before I got bored with it but I decided to give Opposing Force a try and almost finished before my computer crashed along with my will to go through the whole game again.
