Mine is from the first two letters of my last name, the last two letters of my first name, and the first two letters of my middle name, in that order. If you're wondering what kind of name starts with Q, it's Qualls.
The nickname of William Jennings Bryan was "The Silver Tongued Orator." In high school, became the president of the debate team, so I decided to one-up the religious fundamentalist lawyer in metals, and switch to Latin.
I used the name evilhat online for ages, then my 'friend' broke into my msn account and changed everything to chinese.
Me making a new profile coincided with me getting guitar hero 1 so I figured I'd use the band name I had on it at the time. It stuck, now I use it everywhere.
Plus it's rather nice on TF2 voicechat when you hear people referring to you as 'messiah' ^_^
It's a typo of my real name my friend came up with. She's like "OMG! I'm gunna call you Radelaide!" and it kind of just stuck. I get Rad and Rade these days.
Created mine before reading the book, so it originally just meant "one who ends", as in a destroyer or a killer. It ended up fitting rather well with the book (once I read it), since I've always rather enjoyed strategy titles.
I was usually know as the Hyperactive one of all my friends and family... You just couldn't get me to settle down when I was a kid. Also I couldn't stop watching cartoons, so when It came to thinking up an Xbox Live Gamertag about five years back I was watching the Radioactiveman episode on The Simpsons, all I had to do was put two and two together.
Mine is old history when I first tried to make an account on the first Halo called 'Trex' and without noticing accidentally hit the letter 'V' so it came out 'Vrex'. I liked it so I kept it.
(Note: The irony doubled when Vrex became the name of the big enemy in the King Kong game)
Then eventually when I got a 360 it became 'Vrex360' (though when I made my account on my Xbox Live I had called myself 'sangheli360' forgetting about it briefly) because the name had evolved. So yeah...
Xbox 1: I was Vrex
Xbox 360: I was Vrex360
either way when I'm Vrex... James Burnside no longer exists.
