As much as this is part of a series, this was utterly original back in 2006.

With BF 1943 being on XBL I ask dice, make BF2143 FOR GODS SAKE.

Seriously! You thoughtb1943 sold well, this will sell better!

And for more information and self promoting on my part, Here. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.154268-BoS-Takes-a-Look-at-His-One-True-Love]

Jade Empire would be nice I loved the setting and it was a nice change up from the typical dungeon and dragon or space and future themed RPG's Bioware has been making.

I'm sure you've heard Yahtzee say that original gaming titles are to be praised, since sequels are about as common as iPods. For me, I think Borderlands deserves a decent sequel and eventually, maybe High Moon Studios could work on another Transformers game, because we all know how good War For Cybertron is.

So what original titles would you like to see continued? (new titles with no planned or offically announced sequels)
Borderlands is getting a sequel. I heard a while back that Gearbox Software or 2K(which ever one it was) copyrighted the name "Borderworlds". So they are either working on it, or planning to work on it.

And now, more on topic..I think Godhand deserves a sequel...too bad Clover got shutdown..

SKIES OF ARCADIA.
Jesus Christ!
There's a game I haven't heard in a loooonnggg time... I had some great fun with that bad boy =')

I would have said Conduit because there's a lot more to be explored in that universe, but! Recently Conduit 2 has been announced so... Yay

Advent Rising. Just to know how the bloody story ends!
I remember that! It was supposed to be this big innovative trilogy where your stats transfer from one game to another, and it leaves you on this MASSIVE cliffhanger! I bought an XBOX for that game and I died inside when the sequels simply never happened

Skies of Arcadia. Unfortunately, replicating the massive explorable world that made it good would require an impossibly huge amount of work with today's graphics. Just sailing your flying ship around a world like that has so much potential for excellence. Also, I'd like to see an increased ability to explore on foot as well and it might be nice for combat on foot not to be turn based, just to make the ship battles feel even more distinct, since in those it actually makes sense to be giving a bunch of orders in advance of things happening.

Megaman Legends. There really needs to be another one of these, hopefully with even more customization and some gameplay issues worked out to provide more challenge and diversity.

Chakan: The Forever Man. This one's a bit different, as its just the premise and not the gameplay I'm referring to. I think that with modern technology this could be a really interesting and unique title.

Beyond good and evil. It's a very original title, it's based on a book by Nietschze.

(it's a good game too)
Was it based on the book? I just thought they happened to share the same name.

Also, there is a sequel in development.

OT: I can't really think of any; all of my favourites seem to have sequels already released or in development, or are so good that a sequel would be obsolete. But I stamp my feet and demand that development be resumed on Dreamfall Chapters; I think the series has enough of a following now that it would be profitable for Funcom to do.

Definitely Mirror's Edge; so much potential, but just not enough content. EA needs to crap another one out.

I think if they made a sequel to Mirror's Edge in 3rd Person, longer, with no combat, a better story, and faster gameplay, I would buy it. I just realized that that would be pretty much an entirely different game, but Mirror's Edge had a lot of flaws.
Mirror's Edge main flaw was the leaps of faith that you had to take time and time again and hope you ended up in the correct place. That and the physics for swinging were way off and just a sleazy jump mimic.

The combat needs to stay as is, it is a running game not a fighting one. You are suppose to be going rooftop to rooftop, ducking and weaving with a target on your back, front, side, head, etc.
No, I meant they should excise the fighting elements altogether. I hated having the flow of running across rooftops being broken by being forced to kill a bunch of cops.

I liked the 1st person view actually... the arm and leg animations were well done. I'm afraid that making it 3rd person would turn it into a futuristic Prince of Persia in too many regards. I say "GIve us the option to play 3rd or 1st person
I agree that they should give a choice, and that 3rd person would turn it into Prince of Persia, but platforming from first person gave me a migraine. To much leap of faith, not enough wall jumping.

I am probably one of the few people that has ever heard of this game, but a thousand times:

Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System

I know the possibility of a sequel to this incredible game are slim, seeing as how the original developers were bought by Blizzard shortly after the release. This makes Metal Arms the only game to be developed by Swinging Ape Studios.

I am completely fine with this game the way it is, but I would love to see the game rendered in HD.
That game was awesome, but the enemies took a few too many shots to kill, and I never beat it.

But a downloadable version would be awesome.

You know what more sequels should do? Include the original as an optional game with all the new improvements.
