No, I meant they should excise the fighting elements altogether. I hated having the flow of running across rooftops being broken by being forced to kill a bunch of cops.
I have played through it without throwing a punch, and I did a different run that made Banlieue 13 look dull. Fighting gets you killed more so than running and cutting a corner. The police added a sense of urgency, that or you will be stuck on timed missions which would be worse.

Timesplitters.

I know that game got sequels, but dammit we need another Timesplitters game to show these damn developers how to make a fun FPS!

You will never convince me that anything is better than Timesplitters. These games are the pinnacle of the FPS genre. Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield... all those games are complete crap when compared at the pure amazing godlike games that are Timesplitters.

And I like Halo and Battlefield, yet I would gladly give them up for a new Timesplitters.

GIVE ME TIMESPLITTERS, OR GIVE ME DEATH!

I am probably one of the few people that has ever heard of this game, but a thousand times:

Metal Arms: A Glitch in the System

I know the possibility of a sequel to this incredible game are slim, seeing as how the original developers were bought by Blizzard shortly after the release. This makes Metal Arms the only game to be developed by Swinging Ape Studios.

I am completely fine with this game the way it is, but I would love to see the game rendered in HD.
Hah! I still have that game on my xbox!

Fun game that was, I'd play it, but my 360 won't read it :(

I think if they made a sequel to Mirror's Edge in 3rd Person, longer, with no combat, a better story, and faster gameplay, I would buy it. I just realized that that would be pretty much an entirely different game, but Mirror's Edge had a lot of flaws.
I liked the 1st person view actually... the arm and leg animations were well done. I'm afraid that making it 3rd person would turn it into a futuristic Prince of Persia in too many regards. I say "GIve us the option to play 3rd or 1st person
I agree that they should give a choice, and that 3rd person would turn it into Prince of Persia, but platforming from first person gave me a migraine. To much leap of faith, not enough wall jumping.
That was one of the main issues with the game when it came out. I was warned by the person at Blockbuster that I rented it from. He said the game was known to give massive migraines to sertain people, as well as induce nausea.

The only qualm I had was the mall portion, when you had to stand and fight about thirty guards to leave. The game built itself on the principal that you were not a fighter, and then forced you into that position. Kinda pissed me off. I loved the suspense of jumping from roof to roof with no idea how many people were chasing me and how close they were. The suspense was fantastic.

hang on... are we talking about games that do currently exist that we think need a sequel??
Coz would that not then take away from the originality somewhat?

If that makes sense?
Agreed... Original games that are worthy of be revisted might be a better way of phrasing it.

Not necessarily a sequel but rather a re-make of 007: Nightfire. If they updated it with HD graphics, better voice acting, fine-tuned the gameplay, and added online, it would be even more awesome then the original. As long as they keep the splitscreen multiplayer and the bots (preferably the GameCube versions 6 bots rather than the PS2 versions 4).

Quite frankly, I think Pulseman deserves a sequel. Although, the first one never got a very adequate English release, and as far as I know, it's only official English release was a WiiWare game.

Okamiden sort of counts, but I wouldn't mind seeing a full fledged Okami sequel.

I would very much like to see a sequel to Jsde Empire. It was easily one of the best games I've ever played and the fact that it was set in an oriental style world was really fresh compared to most of that style of game.
It'd be great if in the sequel you could travel the world and visit Sir Roderick Ponce Von Fontlebottom the Magnificent Bastard :-D

I want a sequel to Brütal Legend. I love that game, and I want all of its glaring flaws fixed.

I'm sure you've heard Yahtzee say that original gaming titles are to be praised, since sequels are about as common as iPods. For me, I think Borderlands deserves a decent sequel and eventually, maybe High Moon Studios could work on another Transformers game, because we all know how good War For Cybertron is.

So what original titles would you like to see continued? (new titles with no planned or offically announced sequels)
Legend of Dragoon.

Bwa-wa-wa-wa-wa!!!!
I would love one! Or another Breath of Fire game! as long as it doesn't take after Dragon Quarter.

Syndicate.

And yes, before you say it, I know it already has a sequel, but it think it would look really cool if it had a more modern one.

And yes, before you say this as well, I know that one is in the works or is considered to be made.
