Really? Okay, that would be the men and women of the United States armed forces then, who were sent there by who? That's right, the United States government!

Would you accuse a girl of encouraging her own rape if she were wearing a short skirt?
No, but I would accuse the police of being irresponsible when they stormed the apartment complex the rapist was hiding in and engaged in a fire fight with lots of innocent people in the background.

You hope for the destruction of the institutions of my government and accuse my country of genocide out of your own petty desire to feel morally superior. You sir are a disgusting individual.
I never indicated any such thing. I'm just once again pointing out that the deaths resulting from the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan are the responsibility of the United States government.

I turned the news on last night, saw a couple assholes hanging in a tree in front of the White House, as if their favorite team just won the Super Bowl and shut it off. Thanks guys, for making our country look like the world's biggest frat house. As if the world didn't already hate us enough.

It's pretty easy to be on the outside looking in and say it's disgusting to celebrate someone paying for their actions with their life. If such an attitude was a dominate one in the world many more people like Bin Laden would be terrorizing the world. When you you lose a family member, a loved one, even an acquaintance to an act you never thought possible. When your way of life is changed to the point where you need to worry about wether or not it's safe to travel or go to work. Then your opinion might carry a bit more weight. People might be celebrating because they feel a loved one is avenged. Maybe they feel safer (though they really aren't) Let them celebrate. Bin Laden wasn't tortured, he wasn't hung in time's square. He committed an act of war on the American's soil and fell as a military leader would have. His body was disposed of in accordance with the laws of his religion. People who were effected by it in any way have a right to react however they like, wether it's stupid to us or not. The man killed people who had nothing to do with anything in his country. They had no control of US policy regarding his country or his religion, they went to work that day and were punished for things beyond their control. The opinion of people who sit at home and present poorly spelled arguments that the American's should've offered him a coffee and a Barbara Walters interview so she can ask what they did wrong are not only ridiculous but ignorant. Celebrate all you want, don't hurt anyone who is innocent and don't bash muslims for the actions of an extremist and there is no problem.
My lover had a family member who died in 9/11. They lived in New York at the time and after the event and the death of her uncle, her family decided to move away from New York. Now, with the recent news of Osama's death, I asked her how she felt and she said she was disgusted that people we're celebrating another death. She doesn't want vengeance because vengeance isn't going to bring her uncle back. Vengeance only spawns more hate and leaves nothing but an empty void. Sure, you can argue that justice was served, but so many people celebrating this just makes my lover and I sad.

My position is like this, Im not glad he is dead but Im glad he is not alive. He was responsible for the deaths of many people. What really pisses me off is that some of you think if one of their family members died at his hand, they wouldn't get angry. Both sides of the argument are filled with ignorant dumb-asses, the ones who celebrate the death of a man and the ones who actually defend the leader of terrorist group.

Thats FAIR. Hm.

I think thats true that we shouldn't celebrate a man dying.

EDIT: Been quoted about 8 times. None of which about the terrible pun.
................................Oh, I get it! heh

OT: This guy's stupid. Not you, OP, you're entitled to your opinion I suppose. I mean the nut-blizzard who said all that.

[deleted for stupidity] How is celebrating the death of a maniac bad, and how is it as bad as celebrating the murder of innocents?!

Fuck this idiot and fuck anybody who thinks celebrating Osama's death is the same as celebrating the slaughter of 9/11. My mother was nearly killed there. Some of her friends died there. Celebrating the death of a mad bomber isn't evil. Celebrating the death of innocents is.
And saying they are one in the same makes you an idiot, and all those who follow you look like idiots.

...That said, if you think it's wrong to be celebrating in the streets, then I can see that, since it only gives more power to the dead lunatic's memory. My "fuck you" bit is also not directed at anyone who believes this is wrong on a deeply moral and religious level, only at those who believe celebrating a madman's demise is the same as celebrating the great loss of innocent lives.

Oh, and I actually think celebrating neither is the best option. To best be rid of a bastard like him, you need to erase him from existence. Forget the fucker, and whatever power they had on you thanks to your hate of them will die with them.

WHY...? That man killed a lot of people, and terrorised an entire 2 continents for over a decade. I'm glad he's dead, and while I'm not celebrating it as such, I don't think he deserves any mourning at all.

Two wrongs never make a right. I don't think we should be celebrating a man's death but instead they working on finding out why people like him think the way they do.
Can't we do both?

And who flew jet liners into civilian structures? Therebye giving cause to invade Afghanistan and an excuse to invade Iraq?
Would you accuse a girl of encouraging her own rape if she were wearing a short skirt?
No, but I would accuse the police of being irresponsible when they stormed the apartment complex the rapist was hiding in and engaged in a fire fight with lots of innocent people in the background.
And once again who gave them cause to try and arrest the rapist? Shit happens and good people get hurt sometimes but that does not mean that we should throw bile at the people who try to stop those who would do harm to as many people as they possibly can.

Woops! Looks like I mixed you up with a fellow named Azrael the Cat. I am sorry that I misdirected my hate. The United States government still does not pull the trigger on civilians or attack innocent people for shits and giggles. The civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan are killed by the nutcases who believe that 30 virgins await them in heaven if they blow up a school bus full of toddlers.

Was australia hit by a terrorist attack that killed 3K people and led to, may be said to be ill-advised, wars that have killed hundreds of thousands of cvilians and thousands of their soldiers?

No?

They've been sitting on their continent all by themselves?

Fuck them.

Well it is in a certain point of view of course but....

He's been an antagonist for many many people for years, and... it's emotional relieving for him to be gone. I didn't expect it to be such a relief for me either but I guess some part of me is really happy he's gone, which is conflicting and confusing, but I can't ignore that part of myself.

People can't ignore that people are happy he's gone. Yes, it;s a bit weird people are celebrating a fellow man's death, even if was an evil one's, but sometimes you just can't fight emotions, and people need to accept that.

I am an american. I am celebrating the death of Osama Bin Laden.
Why? He's a man who has stopped at nothing to destroy my way of life. Now that's he's dead, I can feel a bit safer.
AMERICA!
