Death Bringer from Golden Axe on the Sega Genesis. He has 2 unkillable skeletons that can take off an entire health bar (At max you can have 5) with their attacks and can randomly stun-lock you to death. His axe attacks take off a whole health bar. But his true BSness comes from his magic. If you get knocked down while he is standing, he hits you with at least 1 undodgeable spell that takes off at least 1 health bar (sometimes 2). Being that he is the final boss, you aren't likely to have very many lives and continues left, so he will kill you 'till you die from it.
Even worse is the fact 1 can only use 1 magic spell and he can use as many as he wants. I have only bested him 1 time in the 15 years I've owned the game. Only way to beat him is with a second person keeping the skeletons occupied while you keep spamming running kicks to keep him off his feet.
Never have I faced a foe that I could not defeat, except this guy.

Oh the rage that battle brings out in people. First time i beat her I ended up doing it with Millia and just using her awesome spam to keep I-No in check, especially Millias slide. Poor Chipp (my main) just for some reason couldn't pull through.

You really shouldn't have returned the game though, one of the best fighters ever. A tough one for new comers with a touch entry barrier but it gets better over time, it's a real hardcore fighter, more so than others.
Well like I said..I did return it at first, but I reacquired it via Guilty Gear XX: #Reload for the PC. So I'm pretty much back into it, only missing out out Order Sol, and some slight changes. Even got some online mode through some..*cough*special procedures*cough* >_> ...anyways, yes I am loving it again, but god dang is she still annoying.

Golden Sun 2.

there is a secret Boss called Dullahan.

Aside from having powerful Psynergy, Stats, and high HP & PP.

He has a move called Djinn Storm.
(Djinn are Equipable creatures that alter your stats and classes, and let you Summon)
It would put ALL of your party's Djinn in Recovery, messing up your stats and moves, and keep you from Summoning.
He liked to use that move a lot BTW.
I had completely forgotten about that! Had to use some crazy all out rush down strategy to beat him quick before djinn storm or something like that.

I also remember having a horrible time with Gate from Megaman X6.

There was this one tree boss in dreamkiller. It was huge, it kept firing flies at me and worst of all is if I stopped firing at it for the slightest second its health go back as fast as a scout can run across hydro in tf2.

I never got to fight him myself.
Watching other people fight him though....just as scary.
Their teams would be extremely high Levels with great equipment and Psynergy.....only to fall like Trees before the Tsunami against Dullhahn.

Speaking of Megaman.....Megaman ZERO anyone?

That game had some of the most BS Bosses AND Enemys i have ever seen.

: ( I can't beat angel X in the first MMZ game. I bought the collection and fffuuuuuccckkkk I owned the game on the GBA years ago and I do not remember it being this hard.

To contribute: the Demi-Fiend from DDS, I'm willing to go on a limb and say he's one of the hardest bosses ever.
The collection is probably gonna be the next Game i buy.
As hard as ZERO 1 was, it was fun.
And iv never played the others so this is a great opportunity.

Heh, I got Reload on my PC as well through "special procedures", it's a shame the online fucking sucks because every time I try and play the game is all in slow motion that it's unbearable. It's like poor frame rate almost, but without the eyesore.

Any of the monsters from the monster arena in FFX. They were all possible, but most involved almost glitches, bugs or very cheap things to pull off.

I played one and two. Honestly it wouldn't be so hard if it wasn't for the fact that using those cyber elves totally fucked you up.
My biggest problem from one was getting enough E-C to feed the Damn things only to find out that they just Evolved and now needed MORE before i could use them.....
And still have E-C for the Reploids you would meet in the base.

Prototype: last boss, hardest difficulty on the PC with it's buggy controls. Do-able..but nearly impossible. Make sure to have duct tape handy to keep your screams from waking the neighbors.

MegaMan 1 : every f***in boss! I hate this game! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! I hate it! ... I want to play it again.

-edit-

cave story : last boss of the secret level. That made me quit the game and head over to youtube to watch the ending to the secret level.

Dracula in Order of Ecclesia is surprisingly OP... but so is the rest of the game compared. I could beat him by flying around his head so that he only did the one attack I could dodge... one time, on my third playthrough without any level reductions, that is, I kept the same level from my last playthrough, I tried without flying. Unblockable bats with a small dodge window and timeframe! Wolves everywhere! Kicked in the face! Soul STEAL! I died... after literally playing through the game three times with the same character, and I still couldn't do it! Looking on youtube, everyone is using the Nitesco nova beam... makes sense I guess.
