I have a strange History with for. for the longest time, i was a guild wars player. I really liked the game, but after i had beaten all the xpansions and done everything there was to be done within the game, i got bored of it. I got sick of all the monsters and npcs being 10x stronger than me when i had spent so much time playing and saving the world and such. then i switched to wow.
played it for about 3 months or so, but then realized that it wasn't worth paying for. sure its a fun game, its really immersive, its probably the biggest game world ive ever experienced, but its not worth paying to play it. imo i dont think any game is worth paying a subscription fee to play.
now, i am sad to say that i am playing it again, but this time on a private server. see one of the things that bugged me about wow, other than teh subscription fee, was the insane amount of grinding. there was one point around lvl 47, i couldn't find anymore quests, so i was relegated to grinding for eternity it seemed.
however, on private servers, it removes most of the grinding. the one im on has x50 exp, and x40 loot and gold. makes lvling to 70 a snap, so you can get into the real fun of the game near the end, with pvp and rading and whatnot. besides, i will most likely stop all together when some of the good games start coming out, fallout 3, force unleashed, saints row 2, fable 2 ect start coming out. i think of wow as a time waster basically.
