Overcharged - Chapter Three, Dark Hearts [FROZEN UNTIL REQUESTED]

"Target lost!"

Wolf snarled. His prey was running, but he couldn't follow him into the building head on. Too dangerous. Fortunately, the experimental sniper had something to counter that.

"Block the paths out of the building, set up tanks there and fire at will. Target crashed through the roof, superhuman strength... maybe something else."

He clicked his radio off and hastily snapped the scope off the rifle. Attaching a blue one nicknamed "Doctor Who" and inserting a new type of ammo clip, SLAG-23, he took aim at the building. The vision was blurry and blueish, but thanks to the scope and the ammo he was able to see and shoot through the building... and find his prey.

"He is chasing someone? Come in, Team B. Subject is chasing someone, possibly another target."

Two shots rang out.

ThreeWords' voicebox squawked, the electricity breaking up the words

What he meant to say was "Now you've done it, your charge has effected my jets

The jets cut out, and they fell

Catherine could hear footsteps from below. A super who was coming after her? She readied 2 Uzi, before releasing a spray of bullets at her pursuer. "Good luck catching me!"

Ray stumbled out of a alleyway with something that felt like a huge hang over "Ugh, I'm still here? Now that's the kind of plot development that I'm not going to explain". As ray stumbled out of the alley way he heard shots from guns, as he looked to his left he saw a man in military like armour with a rifle. "Hmm something tells me that he's not a super human like the rest of us" Ray thought.

Ray looked around and saw all the carnage and a huge crater, "how did I cause that? I honestly cant remember what power I have!". Ray looked to his right and saw a hunting shop a couple seconds later he appeared from the shop with a big hunting knife in his hand, "This could work"

Wolf had always been amazing with his reloading skills. The other soldiers referred it as "magic", but Fox had always knew that it was just pure skill and tough boot camps that made him such great sniper. She smiled at Wolf, gently rubbing her medals on her military suit.

She noticed a small movement in the street...

"Suspicious activity spotted, going to investigate, acknowledge."

"Affirmative, be careful out there, Jess."

Fox felt cold shivers go up her spine. She hadn't heard her real name for quite some time. It was her past life. Today, she was Fox. Running to the edge, he hopped down from the building, landing on the pavement like a cat. She stood up, standing in front of the man wielding a hunting knife.

As they fell, ThreeWords kicked off from Mr Terrible, and his emergency support jets came into action. They were not powerful ebough to lift him, but they were able to slow him to a safe speed.

He quickly scanned the distance to the ground, and deduced that he would have three minutes and forty two seconds at this speed till arrival at ground level

He decided to use the time for analysis. He ran over his operating records, scanning over the patterns his positronic brain had formed in response to the events. Where his original programming would have made him give a reaction known as anger, he had been under strong compulsion to do any possible damage to his opponents, so strong that he was sure that this would have been able to overcome the First Law.

The idea interested him. He considered cutting off the emergency jets. A powerful urge immediately stopped him, and it was more than the Third Law coming into action. He felt like he wanted to continue his existence, to keep on living.

ThreeWords was amazed. Was this what emotions felt like? He did not know. Perhaps, he thought, I will discuss it with a human. Maybe Catherine will talk to me about it

He burst throught he cloud cover, and the city came into veiw. Looking down, he saw the building which mr terrible had addopted as his base. After a seconds consideration, he decided the sniper would be providing sufficient difficulties to Terrible's force that Catherine was in no need of help.

Looking elsewhere, he saw the army troops moving in. He zoomed in his vision, and smiled as he recognised several people. There, Wolf and Fox, people he recognised from his time at Special Forces HQ, and there, one of his programmers, Dr Carter, who had been responsible for handling him and acclimatising him to the real world in his first few days. Carter was the nearest thing ThreeWords had had to a friend at HQ.

He grinned, and changed course. Carter would be glad to see him.

"Hey are you here to take out the super mutant guys?" Ray said to Fox as he put his knife in a sheath he had.

Dr. Carter sat on her bench and tapped her PDA. 3W had been spotted just a few minutes ago. She sighed. That bucket was probably broken - it didn't answer to her return-commands. She had spent nearly fifteen years on that junk and it still didn't work like it was supposed to, but "almost" was enough for The Company.

Almost was never enough for Carter. Sending another return-command, she tossed the PDA on the table and slumped on the chair and looked at the command tent. A few muffled screams were heard... probably an interrogation. Inter arma silent leges, she thought and picked up her cup of coffee.

Fox stared at Ray with her cold eyes and nodded at him.

"That is classified information. What are you doing here, citizen? The evacuation was hours ago. This is now restricted area. Leave."

ThreeWords landed heavily, but his in buuilt shock absorbers soaked up the energy. The troops looked at him, and one raised a gun, but he spoke quickly:

"Counter-superhuman unit reporting. ID code 3W. Where is Dr Carter?"

The soldiers gave him directions, and ThreeWords soon found himself in a hastily cleared conference tent, waiting for Dr Carter. He looked up as she entered, and smiled.

"Hello, Doctor. Are you well?"

Dr. Carter glanced at 3W and took a sip of her coffee. She walked to a nearby console and tapped a few commands.

"As fine as ever. Why didn't you answer to your commands, 3W? Has your communications link failed?", she asked, still tapping the console.

"Yeah I just kinda assumed you were with your uniforms and all, but okay I'll leave now" Ray said to the woman as he walked past her "Funny, I didn't feel the need to attack her like i usually did, OH S**T did I just say that out loud" he turned back to see her looking at him. As Ray drew his knife from its sheath his mind suddenly flicked through the video for Iron Maiden's The Trooper, he saw Eddie killing many people with his sword. Ray's eyes lit up with fury and blood lust "Oh there we go" Ray said before letting out a blood curdling roar and running at Fox with extreme speed.

I've kind of changed Ray around a bit since the explosion, he now sees mercy until he's in a bad situation in which he will go wild. P.S He's also gunna use a knife quite a bit

Fox hadn't expected such fast change in one's personality nor his response to her demands. Although slightly shocked, her combat instincts kicked in. She ducked as fast as she could, unsheathed her Desert Eagle and launched a sweep with her leg, hoping to knock Ray down.

mister terrible shot towards the ground at a great speed he slammed into the building`s roof going right through it by an amazing turn of luck he landed on the fire-arms lady he picked himself up and looked at her.
"well now if that just don`t beat all" mister terrible laughed he ran down to the bottom floor and out the door to see a brigade of tanks surrounding the station he called out to the rest of his followers.
"I think it`s time we abandon ship" mister terrible yelled Harold, Bart and summoner agreed. Harold tore down the bases walls with a quick telekinetic burst they then ran outside to the brigade of tanks mister terrible launched lightning burst after lightning burst at the tanks surronding them in electricity and killing the ocupants,summoner created a small army of imps that crawled over the tanks consuming them and killing all inside,Bart went around turning the tanks into useless iron boxes and Harold simply went around flipping them over with his mind.

Larry ran down the stairs but as soon as he made his way to the second floor he was pierced in the back by a sniper shot Larry roared in pain and fell to the ground causing the second shot to miss he got up holding his shoulder he continued chasing after the fire-arms lady who he found on a heap above a hole in the roof.
"bye bye" Larry then slammed his palm into her while she was still on the ground sending her down through the floor Larry turned outside to find where the sniper shots had come from but instead he saw mister terrible and the rest were fleeing the base.
"sweet I never liked here anyway" Larry bashed through the wall creating a hole big enough for him to jump through he lept onto the ground and bolted after mister terrible to catch up once he did he started flip tanks over and twist the barrels into knots as a group mister terrible and his followers ran into a local alleyway to try and hide.

ThreeWords looked puzzled for a moment, then realised the problem.

"The leader of the superhuman rebels is a man named Mr Terrible. His power is the production and control of electric currents. I had to fight him several times, and he managed to inflict some serious damage using his power. I ran my repair system, but it may be that it failed to fix the communications relay. Do you want to give it a look?"

mister terrible looked out from the alleyway to see Larry following.
"good to see you Larry" mister terrible said with a smile on his face.
"had some trouble getting out though" Larry muttered still holding his bullet wound.
"don`t worry those kind of injuries simply heal on their own" mister terrible calmly responded looking out at his base which was being seized by the military.
"yeah it does suck having to give up just because we decided to not act like savages and kill each other" Harold interjected, mister terrible got to his feet a sense of purpose in his eyes.
"we need to find where the military are located" mister terrible muttered confidently.
"sweet counter attack" summoner exclaimed.
"no we`re gonna be diplomatic about this I need answers let`s move" mister terrible said walking down the alleyway the rest of the group reluctantly following.

Ray quickly jumped over the leg sweep the woman tried on him then grabbed the hand with the Desert Eagle in pulled it towards him and head butted her as she was pulled towards him knocking her over he then picked up the desert eagle from the floor, "look, I'm not going to kill you, I'm going to try and keep a less violent aura than the previous me did okay? Now can you tell me what's currently going on because I've been in limbo for a while" Said ray while offering her back her Desert Eagle
