Isn't the Chicago Typewriter a bonus weapon you get after beating the game? Essentially only available when arsing about?

I would have believed the Hand Canon instead, even if you have to work for it, it is 'fairly' over powered, the real downside of the Chicago Typewriter would be Ashley's brain in my opinion.

I know it's not technically overpowered, I just can't counter it because I suck, but it doesn't change the fact that it pisses me off!
It being The Axtinguisher [http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Axtinguisher] from Team Fortress 2.
Put this in the hands of a skilled Pyro and, especially with that new feckin' Degreaser, you're just scared to go around any corner even in your own base.

Doesn't help that I have a friend who enjoys using the "Puff and Sting" strategy on me just because it annoys me.
Rarely does it to anyone else, just me. I hate my friends sometimes...
Alright, I have to agree that combined with the degreaser it's pretty effective, but in the new pyro pack, I would myself nominate the Powerjack, that thing is stronger then normal axe and heals, or over heal, you on each kill, merciless in a melee only situation.

The ratchet and clank gun from couple posts up seems pretty overpowered indeed.
If I have to nominate something odd, what about the Power wing or the hammer bro. suit in SMB3? they are not really weapons, but, make things easier.

That would be the Great Fairy's sword in Zelda: Majora's Mask. But it's balanced by the fact that you have to collect the 15 hardest-to-find fairies in the game to get it.
this and the Biggoron's sword from Ocarina of Time. While both require a separate questline to get, each can essentially be game breakers. It seems weird in OoT that when the Master Sword (the main sword in the Zelda series!!) is knocked out of your hands in the final battle, you can just whip out its more powerful counterpart and not sweat it.

regarding the halo: plasma pistol, i always found it neat that the weakest and most useless weapon suddenly becomes really useful in the higher difficulty modes haha

Exactly how are those two overpowered?
Have you ever played a match against some tube-happy Assault or Rocket-Spamming Engie with Explosive Mk.2 and Extra Grenades perks? It's not exactly a walk in the park.

And I do know how they tried to tone them down but I personally think it didn't do much.
Well those are ranged weapons that travel slowly, knives and bullets travel faster than it takes to reload a rocket or switch weapons. You should also stay out of sight to ensure a non-explosive death from some guy sniping with a tube or rockets.
Well It's kinda hard for me to stay out of sight when I'm usually the team's designated "go-getter" (cap points, set charges, etc). :)

Grenades.

I hate them so much.

All people do is lob all their grenades at a place they think an enemy is and get easy kills, no skill in it and if like on BF2 you have a support kit that's unlimited nades.
Wouldn't it take skill to throw a grenade in a place where you know an enemy will be when the grenade explodes?
On topic, the M60 in Bad Company 2 is overpowered. It's around a 4-bullet kill, it has very little recoil, and if you put a scope on it, it almost becomes a sniper rifle.

Prior to one of the patches, the M60 was the most overpowered gun in Battlefield: Vietnam. Not only was the heavy class equipped with a 100 bullet (2 magazines) heavy machine gun with next to no range or recoil penalty, they also got a freakin' LAW to go along with it. Basically, find enemy spawn point, lie on ground, murder everything in sight, reload, repeat.

Lol. I got one.

Camping Recon Mindset:
1. Sit on hill a mile away from the battle.
2. Stare at enemy with your scope.
3. Shoot.
4. Miss. Badly.
5. ????
6. PROFIT!!!!

In that case profit would be headshoted by a shotgun sniper on the other side of the map.

I nominate the DMR from Reach. It's immensely accurate with a high fire rate and decent damage. The definition of rape.

This weapon killed the game for me, stopped having fun after the first chapter.
OT: Chicago Typewriter of course, and Shotguns in a lot of games like Gears, borderlands, Doom, etc. and heres one people might not think of. The Camera Obscura with Type 90 film, zero shot combo. if you fully upgrade it also its way more over kill, on my second playthrough standard film defeated some ghost with zero shot combos.

the sword you get for beating demon's souls. i had heard the ng+ was ten times harder than the normal game and was really looking forward to it. then i get this amazing sword and now every boss goes down in a couple hits. im sure eventually it will become much less powerful, as enemies get stronger, but if im killing the tower knight in 3 hits, on what is supposed to be hard mode, of one of the most difficult games to come out in a long time, there are some pretty significant balance issues

The Fuel Rod Cannon in Halo Reach Multiplayer.

Like hell, i knew that they never put that in offical playlists or maps cause of its power/clip/speed/splash. But after Saturday's LAN party i had with random weapons, it was just way too easy to get kills with it.
Dont forget they also seek their targets a little bit. I hated when I played Big team slayer or slayer invasion on the Spire and some elite goes around with the fuel rod cannon...

If playing Gamecube version, you have to complete Assignment Ada to unlock it, on PS2 and PC you have to complete Separate Ways. Then it's available on New Game+ for the low price of one million : D

Both of the weapons and the magic my Fable 2 character wields and the character itself.
The weapons are a Master Cleaver and a Master Turret Rifle from Knothole island, with 4 augmentation slots, both heal me on every hit and both give me gold on every kill (as if I don't get enough of that stuff from landlording), I can't really remember what the other augments did, maybe do more damage.
As for the spells and the character, everything is just maxed out...
The gun that you could win in the Redcliffe shooting range was much better. It fired as quickly as you could pull the trigger,no reload time. Auto aim takes care of the rest.
