I don't know whether to post this in the Politics section or the Gaming section, but I'm posting it here anyway.

So yeah. Tracer is apparently lesbian, and the Overwatch forums are like the Battle of Stalingrad right now. I think it's fair to say I'm astonished, not by the reveal, but by the fanbase`s extreme reaction to having their cover-girl waifu getting "yanked away from them"

I'm just laughing because the community is up in arms regarding one of the worst pieces of content (game or otherwise) that Blizzard has put their name on.

People should be complaining about how lazy and shoddily-written the comic was, not about how Tracer magically became a lesbian.

The only part I really cared about was Page 10. It actually gave a look into the character lore and stuff,which was interesting for me as a fan of the game, while the rest was just....meh.
Pretty bad, I have to admit. Wish they tried harder with the comics, like they did with "Going Legit", the Junkrat and Roadhog comic. I quite liked that one, to be honest.

Why would anyone care? As far as I'm concerned, there is no story - it is multiplayer. I never wondered about the sexuality of the characters on COD...

And it's not like it'll stop / encourage people from doing all the same Rule 34 pics they were doing anyway...

They did, and I read the statement, but was that ever considered a big deal? Can't speak for everyone, but my reaction to it at the time was "huh, okay," and then moved on from.
