Liberal Love It's called not being insane. Every normal person doesn't like Palin. She's evil! She's backwards! And she cannot be president! Period. She just should not have that chance.
before Bush was elected, everyone called those who didn't like Bush liberals, and other dirty names, saying they were insane and that our pessimism on his presidency was unwarranted. And then, look what happened?
Every normal person doens't like her? she's evil and backwards? ummm okay I consider myself normal(business student, work at target) and I like her. How exactly is she evil? I just find this post extremely entertaining with the strange presumptions/points

Sorry nilcypher! Quickly Rex! To the ontopic-mobile!

I really didn't think much of this debate. All anyone was looking for was failure by one party or another. If Palin had done horrible it may have had an affect on the race. If Biden had done horrible it may have had an affect on the race. All this debate showed though was that both people were relatively competent.

That's good of course but nothing thats going to affect the polls.

As for who won, I'll vote Biden if only because Palin had an irritating habit of avoiding answering questions. Though really, when every politicians since the twenties has endorsed that technique, can you really fault her on it?

Lighten up Nilcypher. I do care about who is elected. i jsut don't really care about Biden/Palin.

I will probably do another grassy knoll if McCain is elected. *Shudder with hate*

I Think Obama has the most chance though and Biden is more than capable.

Okay, now i'm jsut rambling
Yes but Joe Biden will not be the authority on anything. Obama will and what if he refuses to take advice..It could be worse then president bush.(Okay, Almost as worse.)
And McBush would be better?

McBush? Did you just try to compare the most liberal republican in history to Bush?

On topic though I will say I prefer Palin I don't think ether one came out on top in the debate.

Sadly, yes. The best move right now is to let the balls fall where they may and allow the market to work itself out. Approve NO ECONOMIC BAILOUT WITH INHERENT EARMARKS!!!!!

It was about a tie for me. Neither of them really stood out and really won, and Palin did better than a lot of people probably thought she would.

The whole thing was extremely boring though. I was studying for PSATs for fun during it.
Lawl, I got my 8th grade PSATS coming up october 15th. So you must be in 11th or under grade. :p(Unless they let you take it all the way up to 12th grade lol.)
I'm in 10th, and I take it on the 18th.

Fun times.
I can beat that. I'm in 12th and I take the actual SAT on saturday.

Un-fun times. Extremely un-fun. I was studying during the debate too. Less out of boredom and more out of Raw Fear!
As an educator let me say: Good luck to both of you.

Yes, I took the SAT's about 10 years ago too- it's gonna be even bigger now that we're going to move to a more socialist state (lol). Lighten up, will ya?

To be honest, both of them landed some real zingers. If I had to choose a winner, I'd choose Palin (better posture/eye contact with the camera, much better command of the talking point than previously anticipated anticipated)

...and everytime I hear Joe Biden talk about himself in the third person it made me think of Bob Dole, since he's the only other politician I've ever heard that does that.

"There's no bigger friend of the Jews than Joe Biden" - Joe Biden.

Classic.

Palin did better than expected, but Biden still won overall. Palin kind of slipped into that state of bullshitting her answers like she did in previous interviews. She came off as more confident and in control, but she still avoided questions that she clearly didn't know.

Biden was very knowledgeable and really did what he needed to do: focus his attacks on McCain rather than Palin and keep drawing the connection between McCain and Bush. His attacks and arguments were much more effective and informational than Palin's were.

Overall, it was a pretty good and civil debate, but probably won't affect anyone who is still undecided.

No...it will be much worse. Obama is a communistic pig. He hates America. His friend, Faracone, who practically single-handedly financed him is an open terrorist! Let alone the fact that his pastor for 20 years hates white people, and wants this country to be destroyed! Open your eyes people, Barack Hussein Obama is the anti-christ, and will bring doom to us all, don't let the liberal media brainwash you into thinking he'll do anything. The "change" he preaches holds no good value to it realize that.

Palin retreated into her shield of folksiness. I watched for around 30 seconds and she talked about being a soccer mom in response to two questions, the economy, and what she would bring to the vicepresidency to stop partisanship.

There? Because you sound just like the people quoted on there. If you're not a Poe then I grieve for you, you are clearly so deluded you will never be able to function within society on your own.

I was actually curious to learn about Biden's "alleged" foreign policy experience. Turned out he really was up to snuff; he spoke with a lot of authority and know-how on Iraq, Pakistan, pretty much every hotspot in the Middle East. I was genuinely impressed, and that's important since I've heard barely a thing about him otherwise, thanks to the media throwing all their attention onto Palin's every move.

Palin was intelligible, Biden didn't royally mess up. Ok, on that score both parties did a good job.

The real sense I got from the debate is that Biden seemed to know more about what he was talking about then Palin did by far. She sounded like she was going over coached, memorized talking points (hence the dodging questions she might not have had much practice with). That's just how it seemed to me.

Also I'm paying more attention to the Vice Presidential candidates this year because I can see them having to take the lead is a much more likely scenario then usual. McCain isn't in the best of health and people are afraid if Obama wins he could be shot, so Biden and Palin's opinion's in this case are very important to me.

Ah, liberal love.
No I jsut don't like her.

Honestly I probably am a liberal but I will vote for the centre right (next election over here [4 years time])
Don't you think "shot" is a bit much though? I don't like you, so please die?

Palin looks like a deer in front of a car still... much like Bush is great she can lead her local peers but do we another mentally challenged person in high office?

Mcain is a mess, I think he would amke a fine president if we were not at war nor in a finical crisis as sucky as the Dims are the ball has to be passed to them just for the damage the reaper party has done over the years, frankly if it was not close I'd vote libertarian just in the vain attempt to inject non approved Dim'Reaper backed blood into government.

And because things are in a mess whoever "wins" will fail and leave office broken as a 1 term wingless duck..

How is he a liberal republican if he agrees with everything Bush wants?
He wants to Stay in Iraq-
He wants to drill for oil.
He wants to de-regulate some more!
He wants to give tax cuts to the rich.

I think that's the staple example of a republican party member.

Palin Is anti-choice, Anti-equality, Wants to allow more oil drilling, Wants to keep troops in Iraq, Thinks its GODS WILL WE BE IN IRAQ.

I don't know how much more those two can get more like Bush/Crazy.!

He would have made a good president 8 years ago, when he was running on the republican ticket as an ACTUAL Middle ground candidate.

And as he said -8 years ago- (not for you, but for the Palin lover poster)
That he can't run later because he will be too old!

He has completely jumped onto the republican bandwagon. He doesn't have a mind of his own anymore. So I don't think he would make a good president at all. Even if we were in a time of peace.
