Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt

So, I recently watched a review done by Masako X of TGWTG, and decided to check out the anime he reviewed, despite the fact that he didn't like it. That anime was Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. And it is awesome.

I'm only up to episode 3, but I'm already in love with this thing. It's just so DIFFERENT for an anime, it's very refreshing.

The plot is somewhere between Ghostbusters and Charlie's Angels, the animation is somewhere between Powerpuff Girls and Powerpuff Girls Z, and the humor is like a cross between Drawn Together and Excel Saga episode 26.

Anyone else seen this?

Those are the names of the characters. Panty, the one on the left has a pair of panties that turns into gun, yeah you read that right. Stocking, the one on right has stockings that turn into swords. Garterbelt is a black priest and I assume the name is just to keep with the theme.

Never heard of it, but I think its title is incredibly..... odd.

But I like the art style, its nicely different compared to other anime I've seen.

I watched the first episode and I didn't hate it but I have not watched any of the episodes after that. For some reason it reminds me of Invader Zim, which I love.

Its different, and its fresh.
Its weird that i would like something like this, given my Distaste for a lot of the things this show does.
But then again...i absolutely love Dead Leaves, sooooo.

This show is...defying my abilities to properly describe it. It's like someone took Puffy Ami Umi's animation, the sheer INSANITY from Excel Saga, the mini-episode structure of Axis Powers Hetalia, and the utter randomness of FLCL, threw them in a giant pot and then poured the resulting stew over the lovechild of mature issues (bondage, promiscuity, anarchy, etc) and Power Rangers.

This anime is WEIRD.

And that's probably what makes it so great.

Got recommended it a while ago and I've been watching it fairly recently since. Like it a lot, mainly as it's different and pretty funny.

Plus the art shifts are pretty badass and the soundtrack is awesome:

I finished it a while ago and I like it a lot. My favorite one is Stocking. Don't know why. She's just so...I don't know. But I like her better than Panty.

Yeah, I like PSG, it's completely over the top and FUBAR. Also, I freakin' LOVE Chuck, he constantly gets the shit kicked out of him but he's happy anyway. Plus, his evil grin is wonderful.
