I got stuck with the Joker boss battle at the end of Arkham Asylum. I looked it up and was told to dodge, use Batarangs and hit him when I could. Thanks internet, I didn't think of doing exactly what I had been all game. He just kept shitting me up and eventually I got fed up and stopped.

Neverwinter Nights 2 ... I have NO idea how to play this game. I have had pretty much no experience with the D&D style and I just haven't a clue what to pick when leveling my character. The start alone where you have to pick a bunch of random shit (including your alignment which ... what, you have to stick to in the game? Do you get punished for not sticking to your chosen alignment? I don't have a clue) I have played plenty of other fantasy RPGs but when people were saying "you can play this without any knowledge of table-top gaming" they were LYING!
My first playthrough is still stuck in a fairly early dungeon unable to kill a gang of enemies on the lowest difficulty setting.

Also Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. I'm stuck right before the big finale (I think) where you get on that rising platform/elevator thing and a bunch of enemies keep spawning as you travel up. I can't for the life of me survive all those spawns and I have tried dozens of times. Plus the combat gets seriously boring.

Also Half Life 2 ... yeah I pretty much had a walkthrough open behind it which I refered to every 5 minutes. Great game but dear lord I'm bad at figuring out what the hell I'm meant to do next. Same for The Secret of Monkey Island ... like hell I could've worked out any of that shit lol.

It always takes me forever to beat Ingo in the second race for Epona in OoT. Believe me, I'm aware it's stupid.

I only can recall being really stuck twice. Well, sometimes in old adventure games I'd spend a while dicking around trying to figure out their reverse logic...

Anyway, Zelda: OoT Water Temple took me almost a full day. Keep in mind I got the game on Christmas day right after it's release (my mom even managed to get the free tshirt for preordering!) and it took me 1 week to finish it. So a full day on just 1 temple was rough. I spent a lot of time looking at the map and trying to figure out where I have and have not explored lol.

More recently, Zelda Twilight Princess. I wouldn't say I got stuck but just a little frustrated in that dungeon where you get dual hookshots. Enough so that I took a break from the game. Oddly, when I went back to play it finally a few weeks later I had no problem finding what to do. I think I was just not in a good mood that one day lol.

Other than that, though? Hmmm.... nothing comes to mind. Definitely nothing recent. Games are definitely getting a lot easier/require a hell of a lot less thinking. I mean just look at Skyrim dungeon puzzles. Most of them are really quite silly.

I can't find the bow in the forest temple in OoT.........
Been there man. I don't remember where it is exactly, I just remember the facepalm when I did find it.

OT: I was unlucky enough to run into the game-breaking glitch [http://gamerfront.net/2011/12/nintendo-responds-to-game-breaking-skyward-sword-glitch/14742] in Skyward Sword. I was wailing around for hours and hours, and a friend just happened to tell me about this.

Thank God I had copied my save a few hours prior to the incident.

In Half-Life 2 I got stuck in Ravenholm at the electric fence, had to look up how to do it. I got stuck in Oblivion in the Shivering Isles DLC when you are trying to kill the Duchess of Dementia and felt retarded when I found out what I had missed. And then there was the final boss in the first Half-Life game, how was I supposed to know what to shoot?

I can't beat those fire breathing stone statues that come alive in Lost Odyssey. You have to beat 4 of them before they reach a city. So annoying.

In Skyrim, when I get to my execution and the dragon flies past, the guards always drag me to the block and lop my head off. I just can't get past it. I get executed every time. I swear I can hear the dragon chortle as it decides to go to Riverrun or wherever instead, every time. :[

I haven't beaten a single of my RTS-games fair and square. I always reach "That level..." sooner or later.

Shadowman final boss. Walkthroughs said it was super easy, just hit him with this one thing and do whatever and he's dead, lame boss. Except it never worked. He just wouldn't die, so I'm just sitting there going, now what?

It's kind of hard to imagine being stuck on anything with no solution, between the depth of Gamefaqs and the propagation of Youtube walkthroughs.

Limbo.
I dunno, people tell me they finished this game in a hour so I feel like a regular dumbo for having so much trouble with it.I got stuck at the point where you push the crate across the river, jump on some rocks and get the giant spider to lean on the wood to give you leverage to jump across the water, then you run & slide to the next puzzle.I'm not the greatest button masher /twitchy reflex kind of player but with persistence I usually get there in the end.
The trouble with Limbo is the Autosave occurs after about 4 or 5 tricky jumps, and if you miss the last one you have to do the lot all over again. And there's no manual save.Usually,if I get stuck on a jump,I just manually save just before it,so I don't have to do all the preceding jumps again. But in this one,I'd finally beat all the previous hard jumps, die in the last one and have to do the whole sequence again.I found the strain was giving me a pain in the neck, which for me is often the start of a bad migraine. And when it goes from challenging to pain-inducing the funski goes right out of it.Shame,as I LOVED the game design & atmosphere-kind of reminiscent of Russian animators like Yuri Norstein-,but I'm just not good at getting through this kind of game without manual saves.I really want to finish it one day.

Obscure text adventure "Jigsaw". I'm stuck in the very prologue, it keeps taking me to the party, which is an instant game over. But yeah, I'm probably missing something in general, like dropping the ticket or somesuch. (if you know, feel free to PM btw:p)

I decide I am going to finish Twilight Princess completely before I move on to Skywardsword. In attempt to do everything, I was walking around the Zora's river, only to be attacked by three Shadow Beasts. I am very far into the game, I could go to the end by I am trying to finish the Normally, you have to be in your beast form to win the battler (you have to use a special move to take out more than one at a time, if only one remains it revives the others). However, this encounter only happens if your walking along the Zora river as a human, and only after your able to go to the Twilight, as far as I can tell. No biggie, I can transform into a wolf...

Oh wait, I CAN'T. A woman is standing right their watching me. I cannot transform into a wolf if a person is watch Literally days passed, and she just STOOD THERE WATCHING. Days in game passed, and she was just their shivering in fear as I used up every bomb, arrow, and weapon I had in an attempt to kill these things. I looked it up and found no walkthrough or definent answers to how to beat it.

What are yours?
You sure you can't somehow move away and find a spot to transform? I guess you've tried that loads already. But you can kill those things in human form. All you need to do is draw together the last few and get their health down, then kill them all in one spin attack.

OT: There's this game that I own (but don't play anymore) called Project Sylpheed. A weird, but quite cool space flight simulator. There's this god damned mission where you have to defend your damaged mother ship against waves of enemies who attack while you are stranded waiting for it to refill it's fuel from the atmosphere of a planet. I never stand a chance. I kill enemies pretty efficiently, and I've tried different tactics. Like trying to flank them; sticking by the ship; going for different types of enemies; but it never seems to make the tiniest bit of difference. I guess the problem is that I'm not using the right type of weapons (the ship upgrade system is pretty complicated and hard to understand), or maybe I simply suck at the game since it's the only space fight sim I've ever owned. But I've never had trouble with any mission before this one, so what the hell?

In some games (Espically Half Life) I come down with a dreaded case of "where the hell am I supposed to go?"

current one is collecting cars in saints row: the third. need to get a Tornado (a military grade helicopter) from the local army base and then fly it all the way to top of the map (from the bottom) while having 4 cop stars on me. problem is these guys seem to be crakshots as they are able to hit me from the army base, all the way to the top of the map and every time i get to my destination the tornado catches fire.

and i can't go and grab a tornado from my garage because he's being picky despite the fact i've already given him two vehicles from my garage with no problems. i've tried strafing left and right while also being as high as i possibly can but they can still shoot me with their pistols and shotguns...

I tried that. Run past in wolf form, and the encounter does not trigger. Try to transform into a wolf anywhere in the arena and your told "do you want to scare a person?" as three elderich horrors are just moving around on her lawn.

I will try the spin attack next time, thanks.
