I don't remember if I, or anyone else, has already done this, but here we go.

During my playthroughs of Fallout New Vegas, I noticed more than a few other players had trouble fighting Deathclaws in the Mojave Wasteland. While I do understand why most people have trouble with them, I actually found them somewhat easy to deal with. The trick primarily for me was that I took any weapons I had with a high DAM (like a sniper rifle or a grenade launcher for example) and first focused on crippling the Deathclaw's leg, which slows it down greatly, making it easy for me to keep a good distance between myself and the Deathclaw. I then focus my firepower on either its head or torso to finish it off.

There's also DC Universe Online, during the main vanilla story line, I've heard some people complain that the Green and Yellow Lanterns in Metropolis were absurdly tanky compared to foes of similar caliber. But whenever I fight them, I didn't find their fights much different from the other foes in the vanilla game. I did later have trouble fighting Red Lanterns in a DLC episode though, for reasons similar to why other people had trouble fighting the Green and Yellow Lanterns earlier in the game, SO there's that.

But about about the rest of you? did any of you face a part of a game you found very easy while everyone else you knew had a very hard time dealing with?

Usually if a level or game is notoriously difficult, it gets that rep for a reason. However...

Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker is the sequel to a spinoff I found difficult in a long-running franchise well-known for being crazy hard, and I kind of like it that way. Everyone, even TV Tropes, said it was even harder than the first game, and unlike the first game there is actually a choice between 'Blessed' and 'Apocalypse' difficulty. Remembering well just how savage the first game was, I started on Blessed and hunkered down for a bitter struggle...

And breezed through it. I died exactly twice, both times due to an escort dying. Without even meaning to, I blindly stumbled into what I learned later was the hardest story path and still aced it. Maybe it was just due to having prior experience, but I didn't notice a huge shift in Apocalypse difficulty either. The game certainly throws its boss battles at you much earlier, but none of them compare to the Bel Demons from the first game. Possibly because unlike the Bels, they don't regain a large chunk of HP after every battle. Everyone said that Mizar was the difficult one, but despite having a lot of stamina and spawning abilties, his attacks are almost entirely physical, which at that point in the game there are countless ways to neutralize or reflect.

Even the optional bosses are the same way. Tough sometimes, but nowhere near as brutal as DS: Overclocked. Uber-boss Alice is quite tough, especially since she can revive her equally troublesome friends Nebiros and Belial, the former of whom can revive their lesser minions as well. But compared to Lucifer, she's cake (to be fair, I don't think it would be humanly possible to make a boss more difficult than Lucifer, unless you made a boss that just used an attack on the first turn that gave you instant game over).

I remember hearing how hard fishing supposedly was in Stardew Valley. Everyone went on and on about how frustrating it was, and how they quickly abandoned fishing to focus on growing crops or fighting monsters in the mine. Hell, one of the first things the mod community made was an easy fishing mode.

I honestly don't know where all the complaints are coming from. It's just a simple matter of regulating your mouse clicks (or button presses if you're on console) to keep the fish icon within the meter. Yes you'll have the occasional "big catch" that gets away, but you can catch most common fish with very little effort. Fishing is actually my main source of income in the game, to the point where I choose the fishing plot for my farm whenever I start a new character.

I accidentally got the "3 enemies with 1 bullet" trophy in a Call of Duty, which I later found out is supposed to be one of the hardest trophies in the game. The weirdest thing is it unlocked in Nazi Zombies. I never even played the single player.

Also the trophy for "headshot during earthquake" in Max Payne 3. Again, less a case of easy, more about "dumb luck".

Pokemon in general is super easy, which is why there're so many popular self-imposed handicaps and challenges.
That said, the Goldenrod gym was a pain in the ass for me.

Dark Souls: Capra Demon. Granted, a friend and I were going through at the same time, so I didn't have to solo it, but even with help the Capra Demon is notoriously unfair. Round 1: Quickly died because I had no idea what to expect. Noticed the demon, noticed the dogs. Round 2: Died. Figured out that the stairs were the key. Round 3: Got up the stairs, killed the dogs, killed the demon. My friend...did not fare so well when he was hosting. Bonus points here for the fact that said friend was better informed than I and is in all frankness usually a better player than I am.

I lucked out both the Black Knight Sword and Tower Shield on my very first character in Dark Souls, as I later found out.

Not to mention you aren't supposed to go to Sif after ringing the first bell.

In hindsight I was overleveled and had great gear when I got to all the memetically hard places, so the game might have been actually harder if I had used a guide for my first playthrough. :p

Dark Souls Smough and Ornstein. I breezed through that fight, relatively speaking. Everyone is always talking about how hard it is, and it often makes top ten lists, but I didn't have too much trouble, even when my co op partner would die before we hit the second phase.

Dark Souls: Ornstein and Smough. Got them on like my third try. I foolishly killed Ornstein first though, denying myself the best weapon in the game.
Capra Demon was first try. Did people really find it that difficult?

The water slums mission in Jak 2 is often hailed as the hardest mission of the game. You go through maze-like narrow walkways, above insta-kill water if you even dip a toe in there, plus you're getting flanked from all sides (and no checkpoints). It's super intimidating, but I never had too much issue with it. This and the jailbreak mission are somewhat trivialized if you spam your blaster while spinning and let the auto-aim pick off a few dudes at a time. Cheese tactic? I don't really care (the game teaches you to do that technique anyways, so it's not an exploit). Guards drop ammo reliably and you can always use your machine gun if you run out of blaster stuff. Beat it first try while only getting hit once, and on replays I might die once or twice. No biggie.

I got some of the supposedly most difficult achievements in Overwatch.

The ones I'm most proud of are Zenyatta's "Rapid Discord" (got it during a choke at Volskaya Industries 2nd CP) and the Junkenstein's Revenge I unlocked all the achievements for.

I used to struggle to fish using a mouse, so I do all of my fishing with a controller (I find it a whole lot easier, for some reason). I wouldn't say I used fishing as a major source of income, but it was certainly a good way to earn some money at the start of a season before the new seasons crops matured.

OT: The Last Cave (Hidden) from Cave Story. It took a few tries to find out where the hidden enemies are and to get the execution down, but all in all it took maybe 5 tries total to get through.

I don't know if that counts.
But I actually often pick up games, that I saw speedruns of and thought "damn, that is a cool game!".
And because of that sometimes I use "speedrunstrats" even in my first playthrough, because I remember them and so "break" the game!
Example would be Super Meat Boy (hailed as an incredible hard platformer). There are levels that I didn't play like they should be because I know how to "skip" most things. I played this game on and off for years, and I actually did every level as intended for fun now, but if some casual player would watch me, he/she would go "wtf!?" sometimes :)

What's up with Ocarina of Time's Water Temple? Didn't seem to be much of an issue to me, in terms of difficulty or irritation factor.

When people talk about difficulty in Dark Souls it's usually playing solo, co-op is generally a lot easier.

And speaking of Dark Souls I'll go with Fume Knight from Dark Souls 2. I wouldn't say he was easy, but some people talk him up as one of the hardest moments in the game. I think it took me 5-10 tries to beat him. And I loved it. Probably one of my favourite bosses in the game. No gimmicks, just learn those attack patterns and don't fuck up.

There was also the Tule Tree in Guacamelee. Again I wouldn't say it was easy but it was no where near as ball bustingly difficult for me as it was for some people. Challenging and fun.

GTA San Andreas, the mission where CJ and Smoke have to stop a train. Never understood why folk have so much difficulty with it - you can kill all the Vagos on the train before it even enters the tunnel leaving Los Santos, never mind after it's spent forever twisting through the countryside before finally crossing the bridge to Los Venturas.

It isn't, really. I find that most of the "difficulty" in the 3D Zeldas stems from "waiting for shit to happen".

Apparently it was altered in the rereleases, I forget how exactly, but I think they made putting the iron boots on and off involve less cumbersome inventory GUI. Other then that, most people played it as kids, and its a weird map and mechanic for kids to wrap their heads around.

Dark Souls in general. Once you get past the obtuse "read the wiki" page to figure out how to actually build your character, I went through all 3 of them (and Bloodborne) just doing the same light attack x2/dodge away combo with the occasional punish on the enemies super obvious telegraph power move whiff that works in damn near every action game made. Unless you totally ignore stamina I don't see how people have issues with it, other then camera problems or if they're trying to use the half-assed magic.

As someone mentioned, Deathclaws in New Vegas. Even without a sniper, it was usually simple to find some cliff or rock they couldn't ascend.

For the most part MMO (or Diablo) combat. Once you work out the combo, its just pressing the same 4-8 buttons in the same sequence constantly like playing the crap tier songs on Guitar Hero. You could probably play them with a Guitar Hero control easily even.
