I'm not just angry at them either, I'm trying to get them to see that what they're doing to PC Gamers and Console Gamers alike is the wrong path for them to take in making their game. Their not doing something in the game thats irritating me, their influencing my entire XBL experience and that's something no game company should be able to do. When I'm on their servers, in their game and earning my money's worth, it is their game to fuck with, but when I'm on their game they do not get to mess with who I'm talking to.

As long as I pay for the game it doesn't matter, some people say. Well, yes. It does. It may not matter to Infinity Ward with their hearts of stone, but when I've payed for an experience in total, and they've fucked it up, it matters to me.

IW are making mistakes that are avoidable, or rather, were avoidable. What they are doing now is alienating a good player base and ruining the game they've tried so hard to make popular, they've gone over the edge of common sense and have hurt themselves in the process. They have lost many sales in the PC market, and some in the console market, without need. I'm not petitioning for my wants, I'm petitioning for their needs.

Very well said. Explained much better than I tried to. If it was functionality within the games themselves that allowed party chat, and they decided to remove it, then fine, thats their choice. The XBL service shouldn't be messed with my them. I'm actually equally as annoyed with Microsoft for agreeing to IW doing this to their service.

Good Christ, more threads about MW2 springing up everywhere! Another one just came up with links to the petitions, god bless 'em. As long as it doesn't spam, more support is good support I guess.

I feel you there. No publicity is bad publicity when it comes to stuff like this. Of course, plenty of people really, really don't care. The contrast between views and responses shows the usual blend of the quiet majority and the extremely vocal minority.
