While at college I had a really bad night on Strawberry Smirinoff (still can't drink it) and got sick on the sidewalk on the way back to my dorm, and every day on my way to class I'd see the splatter. It stayed there a good week before it rained.
Also had a friend loose a wheelchair while drinking. She was at a bar sitting a booth when a drunk friend of hers decided to mess around with it. They left for another bar taking the chair with them while she and a few friends stayed at the bar.

I rarely drink now, might have the occassional bottle of beer or shot of sake about twice a week, but that's it really.

Don't go out clubbing at all anymore either, the people are dickheads, the places are overcrowded and the musics shit personally. What put me off clubbing was one night out in Swansea, when some wanker decided to try and smash a bottle in my face because he thought my girlfriend was his girlfriend.

Drinking, hmmmm....not a fan of it, other than the fact that it's not good for your body, it is also prohibited in my religion, so yeah.... Don't think im missing much though, people's stories above me don't exactly sound awesome.

I tend to get smashed, and sometimes get off with a girl.

The downside is whether you can then remember doing it or not the next day.

I like a drink. Parties, well, it can be fun to get a bunch of folks together and have a few beers and just have fun. In fact, we did just that yesterday - weather was nice, got a bunch of us together and went and had a day drinking in a field. Did the same sunday night as well, but that was slightly less intemtional (aren't breakups fun?).

I do prefer just having a drink and a chat in the pub though. Chilling out in a comfy chair with a pint of ale and a few games of pool, can't beat it. And on occasion you meet some new mates - like the very cheerful old irish guy who came in the othe day with a guiness hat on and a dog, he was awesome.

Course, when I go out with the aim to get drunk, I do that perhaps too well. It becomes a race to clear the top shelf of the bar and start work on the fridges.

I also like cocktails, they're fun. If it's on fire or glows in the dark or somesuch, I'll drink it out of novelty value. Back up at uni, there was a bar that used to do sambuca gas chambers properly, complete with a huge fireball behind the bar every time. We had a lot of them. Flatliner shots (half and half sambuca and tequila, topped with tabasco sauce) are always a good way to get people who say 'suprise me' when you go for a round.

Hi thar!
When i work now, i usually by the end of the week just want to get drunk, very drunk.
What kind of party i like the most, has to be outside, at a local "vantage" point? (On a small mountain, with grass on top, and benches, awesome) Where you can see the whole city- and the fjord. There me and usually most of my friends go with, 2-3 onetime-use bbq grills, plenty of hotdogs, chicken and meat. LOTS of beer, Vodka, Rum etc. And just stay outside, from 4-5 after work, to god knows when in the middle of the night, or next day =P

A story tho, from said place.
From 1th of may till the 17' the graduates of Norway celebrate by drinking hard, every day.

Anyways, i was one of them- and on the 9th day, i'd just bought 2 bottles of absolut vodka. (2.l) And went to the place i mentioned above. It was fun, drank lots. Then i got some great moonshine- And bam. When i opened my eyes- everything was white and a nurse came over. and i just sighed and thought "fuck". Oh yes, blacked out, piss and puke everywhere (outside, thank god) and someone called the ambulance.

I don't do partying, which is weird cuz the few times that I did go were awesome. Only got hammered once and looking back on it I hate the drunk me, no I'm serious I become what some people like to call "The world wanker champion" (cookie for reference) but I do love the memories of all the random things that only seem to happen when you're drunk.

Still I know absolutely no-one in this particular hell hole I'm living in. This coupled with the fact that I have to get up everyday at 5am (including saturday's) and work till 6pm means that there won't be any parties for me anytime soon. Not untill I go to Uni in September.

I don't drink. It's not a strong enough word to describe my alcohol consumption of late. I think maybe I simply inhale...
Last few days of term at uni, nothing to do, everyone else in the same situation - every evening was spent in at least a vague separation from sobriety.

Still, my most drunken would have to be whilst on a ski trip, when I woke up at 6AM in a pile of snow on the opposite side of the resort to where I was staying, with a vague memory of having spent some time in a basement drinking large quantities of vodka with some russians who I didn't know. This was confirmed when I ran into the same people a couple of days later, one of whom apologised for vomming on my coat...

Ah, power hour. Except it never just lasts an hour, it always goes until the beer runs out. We add to it by knocking Spotify on and running up a playlist for it, one song at a time per person, round the group (except you only get one minute of each song, so they best have damned good intros). Course, then that runs out and you have to do it on the fly, and you've only got one minute to think of the next song.

Since we have wildly different music tastes, it can lead to some... interesting transitions. I think we went from Hendrix to Hannah Montana to Dethklok last time, that got everyone's attention.

Hmmm... I rarely party because even though I have a good amount of friends, I tend to avoid all the party hosts, and then I usually have other things to do when I am invited. Also, many parties I go to are rather lame, seeing how the drinking age is 21 here.

Although, the last fun party I was at I got embarassingly drunk to the point of where I was throwing up, but still managed to have a pretty good time. That's saying something, because I was stuck on a couch pretty much the entire night unable to move because I was too dizzy. Something about being drunk makes you a happy person.

I'd like to consider myself the one who just hangs back and chills for the first part, then goes after a girl. Just with a drinking problem. A really bad drinking problem

The kind where your ex girlfriend is rather confused with the angry text messages.

Hahaha it can easily go for an hour if everyones committed to footing the booze bill! hahah
Oh, I meant it lasts too long. Power hour becomes power afternoon, and then it seems like much less of a stupid idea to switch the beer for rum when it runs out, and then it's much harder to keep track of time, and then it turns into the best drinking game ever: Drink the Beers.

I haven't been to a party since the day I chose a laaaaame party in front of my grandpas funeral.

... Yeah, I was THAT young. (About 9-10)

But I've been to a rock festival just some weeks ago. It kicked ass :)

And to base from how I acted there - I was not drinking, but I grabbed a burger at one of the stands with my brother since there were 30 minute breaks from each band that was playing.
I also bought two colas during that festival.

So I suppose I am the "eater" and the one who sings along the crowd when 18 and Life starts to play; A fun dude that won't bother the people around him THAT much.
Yes, Skid Row was there. They were awesome :D

I enjoy social drinking really, chilling out with friends over a few beers to loosen conversation, or having a night out every now and then and getting crazy on the dancefloor. Fun times! I'm second year in college, and my last year was when i figured out where i was at with alcohol, where my limit was, how it effected me etc.

I love partying, though not ALL the time, i also enjoy my own company and just chilling etc.

probably the classic example of the sort of person i am is at end of year ball last year. Awesome food, everyone dressed up nice, free drinks. Good times! Even chilled out looking across beautiful Sydney harbor with mates, each of us smoking a cigar (I don't smoke usually, nor do they. twas a celebratory thing). Then, after that, we hit the city, grabbed pancakes, then went to a couple of dance clubs before making our way back to college. THEN we decided to climb up to the roof of one of the 10 storey university buildings, and chill out there before eventually calling it a night!

However, this year (well last few months really) i have had a few things that have shifted my view of alcohol.

I have a friend who when they get drunk they seem to be a totally different person. they are happy and positive when sober, but after a couple of drinks they'll just keep going self-destructively, and can't see any hope or goodness in the world. I get them through that, and in the morning they regret getting that drunk, but then they do it again... It's hard to know what to do...

that's me

I'm not much a drinker, or the party-going type o' gal. I used to go out every weekend to the bars, get tipsy (never drunk, bleh) and try to enjoy myself. Eventually I realized that I actually wasn't enjoying myself, and that it was a waste of money and time. Not to mention the people I went 'out' with were really nothing like me. We had very little in common (most times only our place of employment) and therefore had very little to say. Most times it wasn't an issue, 'cause we'd be somewhere with loud, repetitive music, but I'm the type of person who would rather an intellectual, meaningful conversation over some naked wanna-be strippers, or drunk narrow-minded men who were only out to get laid.

So, yeah, I really don't enjoy the scene. Though I live in a hick city, up north, and I know it's a very different story back in civilization. I could see myself going out more, and doing the whole weekend partying thing if I lived, say, in Vancouver.

Personally I can't stand parties.

For personal reasons I don't drink and I've never been a fan of the music people play so I can't even enjoy that. Also, I'm always on edge because I'm constantly worried someones going to screw up and I will end up having to drag them to bed/home/hospital. I do have precident for the last one though.

Went to a friends birthday party and everyone piled down to the pub 1st. My mate ended up drinking too much (including a dirty pint) and ended up wandering out the club. I then had to chase after him and take him home. Didn't mind though as it meant I could sit and watch his DVDs and all his mates loved me for being willing to give up going to a club to help him out.

The next year at the same guys birthday, a mutual friend didn't realise how strong his drinks were and so he got drunk and I volunteered to help his girlfriend get him home. For my troubles I ended up getting sick all over my bare feet (wearing sandles for fancy dress), I then was frantically trying to call one of my mates still in the party because the friend passed out on a footbridge and his girlfriend was panicing too much to help and I lost the girl I was hitting on to the friend whos party it was even though he knew I was interested in her.

My perfect party is just 2 or 3 people with food, a bit of drink for thoise who want it and a mockable film on the TV.
