That further proves my point on how a lot of religious people are insane.

...

You ever get that feeling that several negative emotions are warring in you at the same time, but you can't figure which one to express and just sit there, twitching?

I thought that praying for someones death is agains certain religions laws/rules/principles.

My thoughts are that people shouldn't pay attention to idiots like that.

Ho ho ho! It's funny because he really doesn't like his country!

Sorry, you set me up for that one XD

OT: I think it's pathetic, for the aforementioned reason.

And we all know how well prayer works.

Nothing to fear in other words. Let the dude pray, when he starts talking about actual actions then alert the press.

Let's list the ways this pastor is screwing up:

1) He's preaching politics from the pulpit (the fact that he says he isn't doesn't make it true)

2) He's using his position as a religious leader to harp on his own personal issues

3) Christians as a rule are expressly not allowed to hate anyone. Especially when they call themselves Christian leaders.

4) Even if God is real, what makes this guy think God shares his opinion? When Bush got elected, the Christian right said it was a mandate from God. How can it suddenly be the power of Satan that got Obama to the same office?

5) He's a moron, and now he's a moron who got his name on the Secret Service's list. I'm sure that will work out well.

People don't.

CNN does.

[sup]and Fox News too[/sup]
Point taken. But won't the people that watch those "news" channels pay attention to him?

you know, praying to a god to kill someone is cutting it kinda close to breaking "thou shalt not kill", plus i heard somewhere that suposidly god doesn't listen to prayer's that amount to little more then death threats, making that prayer entirely pointless..

Hate to break it to you guys, but this should not come as a surprise. Pastors have been saying more radical things than that here in the US for quite a while now. And considering the rabid hatred the far right has for Obama, is anyone really all that surprised that the pastors that the vast majority of far right people devote every Sunday to might share some of their opinions?
