It might, but probably not because of the star.MaxTheReaper said:So what?
I could wish upon a star for Obama to die, but that doesn't mean it'll happen.
I was just thinking of the Israelites being reprimanded for celebrating the deaths of the Egyptians, who had been their captors for generations. Then again, any document that old and added onto that much is bound to have some contradictions.Cliff_m85 said:I think we're reading different books.orannis62 said:Sure is. Hell, the Bible forbids it even when you have reason to want someone dead, let alone this situation.AkJay said:Isn't wanting someone dead a bad thing in Religion?

Oops, my fault. It just looks like I'm not picking-and-choosing.
Lev.20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Deuteronomy 22:23-24
If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city.
Not all of us. I'm a religious man myself, and I am appalled at this news story. This man is insane, just listen to him. He's a fanatic. And fanatics act irrationally. This man's words chill me to the bone. No good religious person would ever pray for that. That is not what we believe.ZehGeek said:Religious people screw up most things because they want EVERYONE under THERE way of life. >_>
You should watch the good news stations like The Colbert Report or The Daily Show with Jon Stewert. (they are comedy shows but give better news than most other real networks, and they entertain you while doing it.)scifidownbeat said:Yeah, I suppose so.Jester Lord said:Point taken. My thoughts are that people shouldn't pay attention to idiots like that.
CNN does.
[sup]and Fox News too[/sup]
I really hate American media; or at least, I hate CNN, MSNBC, and Fox. Besides BBC (which is pretty coo'), I haven't watched many other news networks to form an accurate opinion.
I think the ten commandments say "Thou shalt not kill" well i guess God would do the smiting....i think it works both waysJester Lord said:I thought that praying for someones death is agains certain religions laws/rules/principles.

Really? I always just assumed that, should that happen and my belief system is totally wrong, Jesus would be like, "Ah, fuck, close enough. Hop in the jacuzzi."MaxTheReaper said:You know what, I always suspected that if it came down to a competition between me (the horrible non-believer (and person)) and some of these people, Jesus would pause, laugh, and just toss us all into Hell as equals.Aqualung said:Because, you know, Jesus only loves you when you hate others.
What a nutter.
