That further proves my point on how a lot of religious people are insane.
And don't actually follow the teachings of their religion.

Wow, this totally isn't an opportunity for the atheist majority of the escapist to rant on about how religious people all want to go on murderous crusading rampages. Nope . . . not at all.
Yet crazy religious nuts keep piling on the ammo. It is really funny how that happens.

Good, it's about time someone dealt with "President" Obama and his socialist fascist ways.
GOD BLESS HIM AND GOD BLESS AMERICA

No but seriously, this shit is frightening. Is it just me or do the fundies have absolutely no understanding of how Christianity works? Isn't there some thing, with Moses, "thou shalt not kill" or something? Nah, what do I know.
Yea but Moses was Jewish so there's a decent chance that he's like Mel Gibson and utterly hates Jews so the Ten Commandments to not prevent him from being a retard.

(Right now God is looking down and laughing his ass off)

Yeah, it does seem a bit odd for someone to pray for a death, and then tell people that we need to love our neighbors. People like that give other religious people who AREN'T hypocrites a bad name.

Is there a license that pastors need to be pastors? Because if there is, this guy should have his revoked. As if enough ignorant fools hadn't come and damaged religion's image enough already, this guy comes out and prays to God- who I'm sure he preaches as kind, loving, and benevolent- to kill our nation's leader. It's okay to disagree with Obama, but REALLY?
yes, you can be a pastor, but to do things like marrages you haft to be an ordaned(Licence) minister for it to be legal.
and i agree.
most of the preachers trying to get into politics now are doing more harm than good.

Also, this story underlines many things wrong with humanity. God I hate humans... But since I am one of them I have to try and be nice to them, because otherwise I shall be an outcast. Oh... Don't listen to me, just thinking out loud.

Arizona pastor Steven L. Anderson hates President Obama, and prays for his death.

What are your thoughts on this?
I do not hate... Well, anyone really, I came very close to hating Bush Jnr, but even he didn't deserve death threats. Of course this pastor has his right to religion and free speech (Uhm, forgive those who trespass against us?) but I feel what he's done is given CNN a stick to beat him with. And CNN will play this tune untill we are sick with sympathy and outrage.

Only I know CNN isn't interested in people or events, their sympathy and outrage is only the carefully measured kind they think they ought to show. What they want is our sympathy and outrage, essentially - our attention.

News Media are the trolls of life's forum, don't feed the trolls.

Ok, lets play this. You like to have all Christians (somewhere between 1.5 and 2.1 billion people) be represented by loudmouths like this. So, logically its okay to say that Mike Tyson represents all black people, or that Osama Binladen represents all arabs. So, all black people are rapists, and all arabs are suicide bombers, right?

I'm a religious person, and this retard makes me sick. He has no idea what he's talking about, and I apologize on behalf of the sane Religious community.

However, wtf do you mean Obama has 'done something for the country'?

He just told us to write ourselves a letter on how we can 'help' him. Seriously? This isn't North Korea. Nor is it Obama Nation.

Well, if you really screw up, you can get "fired" in layman's terms. But as we've seen, it takes a lot to do that. Even molesting children isn't enough. You have to molest children in at least 3 different parishes.

Isn't wanting someone dead a bad thing in Religion?
Sure is. Hell, the Bible forbids it even when you have reason to want someone dead, let alone this situation.
I think we're reading different books.

*checks book*

Oops, my fault. It just looks like I'm not picking-and-choosing.

Lev.20:13
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Deuteronomy 22:23-24
If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto an husband, and a man find her in the city, and lie with her; Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city.
you gotta remember these were in the old testament, under the old law.
when jesus came into being in the new testament he became the blood sacrafice that was required for sin.
the old testament is very important but our sins have been paid for with jesus's blood.

You ever get that feeling that several negative emotions are warring in you at the same time, but you can't figure which one to express and just sit there, twitching?
You should let the anger take over. Its more fun to watch :p
Yes, give in to the dark side, we're cooler.

Just ignore the people that attack you (over the internet) because of your beliefs.

Did I ever say he represents all Christians? I never did. I mainly have said that Christians with guns who scream hateful shit are hypocrites. Am I right or am I wrong?

Here is more for the religious nut pile though:

Sex offender to be ordained as minister: http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/bestoftv/2009/09/07/nr.sex.offender.cnn

What a crazy world we live in, no?

As much as I don't agree with Obama's methods, I would NEVER want our country run by Joe Biden.

But seriously, with respect to religion, people like this preacher make the religious minded individual to be a crazed maniac, kinda like Reverend Wright.

As someone who stopped paying attention to religion, it's ludicrous to bash all of the religious based on what one crazy says. After all, if we judged all Austrians based on what Hitler did then we'd be called nationalistic.

But yes, this guy is a wacko and needs to step down from his pulpit.

And this is all because Obama supports abortion? I can think of a few other people that are a little more deserving.

I can't even believe it. I know it has to be true but it just doesn't sound right. The funny thing is in the Bible it says love your enemies and friends do not wish death upon others for that is a sin and you will go to hell. I think this is horrible for anyone to say that about him. Persoanlly I don't like his beliefs but I would never pray for the man to die. Its just outrageous I'm not sure what to say.
