So I'm playing a zen archer in a pirate campaign setting and the GM gave (specifically) my bow to another player (whom is a standard monk) and he is refusing to cooperate with me in anyway, what should i do?

>additional info
>GM says players can buy back equipment from the store room which was taken when players were abducted
>GM only gives opportunities to obtain cash to other players (so far)
>GM never lets my character do jobs that he would be good at "because Mr plug likes when people damage the ship so he can punish them"
>the guy I'm having trouble with is my friend irl but in game he is using the excuse "I'm role-playing" despite his character being friendly with everyone except me (although in combat he isn't so bad)
>lately that player is saying "I don't have your bow" which is a blatant lie

I smell b.s.

Sounds like a dysfunctional troupe with an unfair GM.

Find a better group to do tabletop with.

Stab the PC that got your bow in the back at the first opportunity. Don't worry about getting the bow back, just get revenge. If you're playing a typical murderhobo campaign and the DM questions you trying to kill someone who took your stuff, call him out. And if you used wisdom, intelligence and charisma as dump stats to be a really good shot, your character is justified in exacting revenge even without much evidence, because he should logically be an idiot that doesn't get along with people and doesn't think things through.

Stop playing with players who don't gel with your playstyle, or GMs who run campaigns in ways you don't like.

So, I'm incredibly confused by this "buying items from the storeroom" thing you have going on. Is this a meta-space you're taking items from? Did he "buy" your bow from this place before you could? I mean, if he did, that's kind of lame.

But to be honest, it sounds like your group is very not fun to be around.

Not to pick on you, OP, but I get the sense that something YOU did previously might be the problem here...?

If not then yeah, the GM is being an unreasonable jerk. Jump overboard and write up a Ninja instead.

I've played the first part of Skull & Shackles before - it's annoyingly brutal, and I don't mean in the fun way.

However, your group definitely seems to be the problem here. The best advice I could give you is to find an opportunity to talk to your GM one-on-one and bring up your grievances. If that doesn't go well, then I'd just jump ship. There is no point in continuing if you're not having fun.

The GM and the player that got your shit are playing against you? Then you probably have some serious group issues, think about taking a break from them.

The final actions to resolve this in game I would try to steal that bow back and if there are again magical problems that only work against me I would go so far as to kill the asshole PC in his sleep, then take all his shit. But like I said that is what you do when you are ready to take a break from them, people get bitchy when you spend too much time with them so it's healthy to take a breather every so often.

pirate camp ehh.. are there articles that cover personal theft? aka was the bow owned by you or is it a ship stores item? if it was owned by you and stored in the ship armory and someone else is using it and wont give it back then they stole it and stealing should be covered under the articles you would sign as a pirate
