I think Patrick Stewart was just making a light hearted jab at Corden as he'd been ripping into celebrities all night long. Seems he can't take the heat when it's turned on him.
Of course he can't take the heat, I can pretty much guarantee if anyone gets above him he'll go "I was bullied as a child" and every insipid fucker will go "awwww, poor fat boy"

Whos the bint who said she wants to see Stewart "die" on stage?

Also, Corden grinds on me after about 10 mins on screen

I think she meant it as a complement.
After Corden said he was dying ( as in not being funny, not physically dying) she said 'I'd pay to see Patrick Stewart die on stage any day' in the sense that its Patrick frekin Stewart, you know?

here's the clips http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIBUWqSTp90
If that is what she meant, she worded it in an impossibly bad way. There's no way that line could be taken as anything but an insult.

But honestly, Corden needs to learn when to shut up. He was in the presence of one of the greats of acting, and he made himself look like a total dick. Patrick Stewart has earned respect. It's like a street urchin trying to tell off the owner of the newspaper company he sells copies for. A good way for your career to come to an abrupt halt.
Agreed. Its just the impression I got from the clip. she could have worded it less ambiguously however it sounded like a complement, even if it doesn't read like one if you catch my drift.

I'm going to get slaughtered for this but I'm on Cordens side he wasn't being serious and Patrick Stewart gives me the feeling that he just thinks he's all high and mighty.

Corden was saying he was dying due to not being funny, not from actualy dying.

This man must die. Patrick Steward is a legend from Star Trek, and a superb classical actor whom I have been fortunate enough to see on stage.

James Corden is a stupid, arrogent, fat git who should be burned alive for his sins.

Anyone who clicks this link will be annoyed. Click at your own peril... [http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/bizarre/3006381/James-Corden-and-Sir-Patrick-Stewarts-bitter-belly-bust-up.html] It's an article by one of Britain leading papers.

OT: I'm taking the side of neither one of them.
Why?

Because they were both incredibly childish. Patrick didn't need to say what he said and Corden didn't need to react how he reacted.

They are both equally guilty parties, in my opinion and will both look back on this and probably think '...Well, I looked like a massive twat that night.'

Now excuse me while I hide. *Flees*

It's just the way Corden said it that made me lose all respect for him. His tone more than anything annoyed me. He sounded petty and arrogant and he didn't have to.

However it must be difficult to present a night of awards and have to ad lib witty comments at moments like this. A better comedian might have managed to NOT BE A DICK. Corden did not.

Shit like this is usually scripted though isn't it?
Yes, I thought it seemed more like it had been planned. Possibly hasn't, but Sir Patrick Stewart and James Corden don't really seem like the likely pair to have an argument, even though I see Corden whine about everything.
Yeah, I thought it looked a bit too organised. I don't watch Corden much, but what I have seen, he isn't very funny. I could be biased though, Patrick Stewart is one of my favourite actors. ;D

I have been reading more articles about this and they really do seem to be taking the stance of defending Corden who looked like he was acting like a total twat.

Was not a huge fan of Corden before but now he is ranked in my dick category.
You might not want to tell any of your friends you rank dicks...

OT: I can't bear to actually watch the video, because I know how much it'll make me cringe.

However, I've read how the conversation went and it looked like Stewart was in the wrong - I couldn't give two shits how good an actor he is, that's got nothing to do with it.

As a knight, can't Sir Patrick Stewart just disembowel this douche or something?

Okay, Patrick Stewart was disrespectful and while Cordon was way out of line, they were BOTH immature cunts. Anyone who sides with either of them is a twat whether it's those fuckskulls who agreed with Cordon and said they wanted to see Stewart die or those who are so blinded by Stewart's legend that they think he is perfect and is always right.

I love how shit our society's become. We applaud a fat guy for being fat and not funny while ignoring Sir Patrick Stewart for being an amazing actor.
While I agree that Corden is a prick and Sir Stewart is awesome, I can understand why Corden got pissed. He made a dumbass remark, sure, but it wasn't something that deserved Stewart calling him fat (in a nutshell). They were both ridiculously immature. When Corden was saying "No. Go on?" I would have done the exact same, if not worse. What Corden did didn't warrant such an insult, then again, what Stewart said didn't deserve an "old man go die" joke.

They both took a huge mis-step and went way across the line. They should both feel pretty fucking stupid in my opinion, that was terrible, terrible conduct on both of their parts.

They were both being a bit grumpy by the sounds of things.

That aside, I think they are both awesome.

Actually, it was Patrick Stewart who initiated it, and while Corden was overly defensive, Patrick shouldn't be acting like such a fool when he's just been given a knighthood. Both of them have shamed themselves I think, it's just that people thought Corden was nicer, and that Patrick Stewart was more respectable.

Pretty abysmal really, and lets face it, who gives a damn about the Glamour awards?

That was spectacularly awkward to watch. I find Corden very funny, I think Stewart is an outstanding actor. Obviously something was said backstage that riled the other and that went back and forth until what we see before us happened. Without knowing what was said originally and the response to that, I mean whether OTT or not, I reserve opinion.

Barring some unknown established reason for the two men to hate eachother, I reckon that one of them told a joke at the others expense that he considered out of line, things just escalated from there. Fault of the stage manager really, or whatever title is held by whoever is in charge of the event, he or she should never have let them on stage together.

But he started it?

Just sayin'.
Ennit man, he took the piss out of Corden being fat first, then followed it up with some indecipherable shit about the Jonas Brothers? Don't see why everyone's defending him, they seem as bad as each other.

Yeah he's a great actor, doesn't excuse him of anything.
