I have been reading more articles about this and they really do seem to be taking the stance of defending Corden who looked like he was acting like a total twat.

Was not a huge fan of Corden before but now he is ranked in my dick category.
You might not want to tell any of your friends you rank dicks...

OT: I can't bear to actually watch the video, because I know how much it'll make me cringe.

However, I've read how the conversation went and it looked like Stewart was in the wrong - I couldn't give two shits how good an actor he is, that's got nothing to do with it.
I rank dicks, pussies and arseholes as they should be. I'm not prejudiced. :p

To be honest, from what I can see SPS was making a comment which had some ground. In most of the clips Corden does look like he is just milling around in the back ground and in reality Corden should have just taken it as advice.

I would hate to watch a presenter just floating around the background with his hands in his pockets. What's wrong with showing some class to the slob?
Possibly the jibe about being able to see his belly from miles away?

Someone on here is going on the rampage about how much of a legend Stewart is, which has absolutely nothing to do with the situation. If he made an un-funny, insulting jibe to me I'd say something back - I don't care what he's done.

If anything the fact that he's got such a "legendary" status makes the situation worse.

He started it because Corden was standing there with his hands in his pockets like the mannerless prick that he is. He doesn't even deserve to share the same stage as Stewart.

Corden was involved with Gavin and Stacy. That alone should tell you how unfuckingfunny he is. Also, he's another one who seems to pride himself on this lad-mag culture by sporting a beer-belly that should have rightfully crawled up his concave chest and landed in his mouth to suffocate him and make the world a better place.

Unfunny, rude, grotesque ****.

No, I'm not a fan.

I dislike the way Corden leans against the mic stand and tries to get right in Paddy's face.
It's physical intimidation and, even if it wasn't the context Corden meant it in, he had just brought attention to the fact that Paddy is oooold.

Corden was being a useless, unfunny self-absorbed prick (so no different than normal, in all honesty) and Stewart was being equally as petty and childish. But, really, it was some awards ceremony for Glamour magazine or some shit like that; it's pretty much a non-story.

Is it bad that I don't know who the hell that Corden guy is?
Not in the slightest. In fact, leave now. Escape before you learn anything, ANYTHING AT ALL, about him. He is less than nobody. He is worse than dogshit in that he is more of an inconvenience to wipe from your sole.

It was GLAMOUR awards, not the bloody oscars. What the hell was Sir Patrick doing there in the first place?

Both of them made fatal errors of judgement, Patrick only just being knighted, to act like a tool a few days later is embarassing. Corden hosting the World Cup whatever on ITV, not that I care, just shows that two people who have different, but respectable positions can't give away some frivilous award on an awards nobody would otherwise have HEARD of.

And as James Corden is a comedian he should have been able to shrug this comment off as it gained a laugh off the audience. Instead, he went right up in the face of Stewart which I thought was rude on it's own. Stewart looked like he was restraining himself from clocking the guy in jaw, which if he had come up in my face like that I would have felt to do.

Considering Corden's belly is quite often his main tool for a laugh Why should a comment from someone else be so hard for him to handle. Corden got aggressive and lost his cool.
Oh, you were actually the one I was talking about calling Stewart legendary xD

Clearly I don't have a particularly good attention span.

Anyway, Stewart started the childish behaviour, and that tells me exactly where the blame lies.

British. people. are. weird. i saw very little of a actual "clash" there. it sounded like retarded 5 year olds making fun of each other. in america there would have been a fist fight or at the very least alot of swearing. "i could see your belly" "oh yeah! well you are old!" "oh yeah! well you like the jonas brothers!"

This is pretty sad, but it doesn't change my opinion of either of them. Sir Patrick is still an amazing actor and a gent, despite how he acted here, whereas Corden is still a massively irritating **** who's funny to morons because he's fat. Something clearly went on behind the scenes, because Sir Patrick is actually a funny guy with a great sense of humour, and he's never been shy of taking the piss out of himself. Just watch his role in Extras to see what I mean. He was obviously riled, but did himself no favours with how he acted, but I don't know quite why everyone seems to be taking Corden's side when he acted just as immaturely.

Oh wait, I do, it's because our entertainment industry is full of fucking window lickers who think it's funny for a fat guy to get his belly out on stage. Smashing.

I think this is disgraceful, and Corden isn't even funny, the classic: "I'm still waiting for the punchline" spoken like a true loser Corden. Sir Patrick Stuart is widely respected and loved by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Until I saw this, I didn't even know Corden's name, this is probably the most widely publicised event of his lousy career.

Lynching anyone?

Actually, it was Patrick Stewart who initiated it, and while Corden was overly defensive, Patrick shouldn't be acting like such a fool when he's just been given a knighthood. Both of them have shamed themselves I think, it's just that people thought Corden was nicer, and that Patrick Stewart was more respectable.

Pretty abysmal really, and lets face it, who gives a damn about the Glamour awards?
This, shameful behaviour all round, Although patrick Stewart has built up enough kudos for us to let something like this slide I think.

They were both unfunny but only one of them is meant to be a comedian

This story makes me angry. Sir Patrick Stewart was acting before that stupid fuck Corden was even born. He is top of his field, he is way more successful than Corden will ever be, and has a fucking Knighthood to show for it. Corden needs to learn the chain of respect.

That's because he is legendary...

So if one of the award winners had retaliated against one of Cordens jokes about them would that make Corden a bad guy for making the joke?
If the joke was so poor that no one could really tell if it was a joke or not, and it was in poor taste, then yes.

They're two men - neither is more deserving than the other in this case, something which I'm afraid you can't accept.
