Patrick Stewart vs James Corden

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but "dying" or "getting killed" are commonly referred to by comedians when jokes fail.

Stewart was condescending, perhaps with reason, to him about the whole having his hands in his pockets thing. Corden is a grown man, if he wants to stand there with his hands in his pockets, it's his business.

After Corden then got pissed and said presenters should get the F*ck on, Stewart tried to insult him on a personal level, which was very un-knightly. But he couldn't finish the punchline, that's when Corden said he'd like to see him try to find one, he'd like to see him die - and Stewart did, because when he finally got a punchline, it bombed.

I'd say neither men handled the situation very well, but the amount of Stewart nuthuggers in this forum is awesome.

You don't stand behind someone on stage and spin around looking bored then interrupt what they are saying. Patrick Stuart is a classically trained actor; no wonder he was pissed off. I would have told him to fuck off and walked off stage.
I'm not a fan of Patrick Stuart. They were both nobs. But Corden can go screw a monkey.

I think Corden is really creepy. He wears out the same jokes over and over and I have no idea why he is as famous as he is. Its like atomic kitten all over again. I have so many friends on the comedy circuit that could keep a room laughing without humiliating other people or getting naked.

I wasn't defending Corden so much as attacking Stewart, since it seemed to be so, one sided.
As for Corden's comedy... people don't usually give a shit how he does it, as long as they laugh. I don't find him funny, but there's enough people that do, and I'm cool with that being their opinion.

You can play mr "that's their opinion" if you want to but that's a very boring person to be especially when no one was questioning peoples right to their own opinion.
But yeeeeeah this has been very one sided. I just fancied a good old rant about corden really. I hate it when people believe their own hype. Having seen a longer clip of what happened I think Patric stuart was a royal nob...Corden still did an aweful job of hosting though.

I dislike how Cordens weight seems to be the thing everyone is going for here. I don't find the guy funny particularly and the way he got in Patrick Stewarts face was near chav like, which is why I'm siding with Jean Luc on this one. However, surely just calling him a twat will suffice, instead of fat twat?

Patrick Stuart is an amazing actor and i have 100% respect for him but i dont understand why he made a comment about James' weight anyway. It wasnt funny and it kinda felt as though a tumbleweed was abut to cross the stage.

I do think the comment about 'Watching him die' is bad and JC did take it too far.. but why start making snide comments to him in the first place.
It all seemed really bizarre and awkward to me :/

Seriously though, Corden's just a fat, smug get who relies on the fact that he's hilariously fat in the hopes that the idiot "fans" of his don't see that he actually has absolutely no personality or talent. I don't think Patrick Stewart died on stage, I think he had a great insult for the fat sod but was holding back. He's far too much of a gentleman to have gone any further, obviously. And good show to him. I would have let rip and punched him in the fat, fudging face.

I don't really understand who thought that Corden even deserved to stand on the same stage as Stewart...I mean, seriously, what the hell has he done? Ruth Jones is the masterind behind Gavin and Stacey (which, by the way, isn't funny in the slightest), so...where has his fame and popularity come from?
