Eating in McDonalds? Are you INSANE?

Well, probably not, but the food is overpriced garbage. Nip down to Greggs and get some cheap garbage. ;)

I always wondered who DOES go to McDonalds? I mean on a regular basis, not every couple of months...here in Greece we have a franchise named GOODYS, I dunno if you guys have heard of it, but most people seem to prefer it over McDonalds.
Well, I only go there when I need lunch during work. As I work the late shift, McD's and Waffle House are the only options in my small town. And seeing as I like to get my food without being stabbed, robbed, or hit up by bums for money, I tend to favor McD's.

In germany you must also Pay for the restrooms but when your done there you get a 50-cent "Restroom ticket" and with that ticket you have a 50-cent discount.
and of course you can buy your ketchup with that ticket.
One extra reason to eat at the BK.

That's a pretty saucy thing to do. I've never been one to condiment Mickey D's (I actually think their food is horrible), but this is just ridiculous. I knew that they'd take a long time to ketchup with the rest of the fast food industry in terms of quality and service, but it's ridiculous. How could they possibly mustard up the nerve to do such a thing!?

Thats just bull. Where I live they got these cups that you fill up yourself from a dispenser and you can have as much of it as you want. 15 cents a bag, WTF!? They do charge for the restroom here too, been in there only once tho. Oh well, whatever... as long as I get my cheeseburgers cheap I'm happy. :p

Really? That's so funny. I would be like "Hello, I just took a huge dump on your toilet, can I have my discount please?

At least you don't seem to have much of a choice. If that Waffle House place is indeed so dangerous I'd go to McD too. Or get some home-made lunch! I used to do that in school. Get a nice sandwich with fresh tomato, lettuce, regato, and prosciutto...now that's a delicacy!
Meh, I tend to ignore the bag lunch option, as my sammiches get soggy from lettuce or tomato or what have you by the time I go to eat them. I guess I could make something less-sammich like...

I'll preface this by saying I don't even like McDonald's but when I traveled to Ireland a few years back I needed to 'economise' and McDonald's was cheaper than the restaurants in Dublin. Plus I'm always curious about how McDonald's varies in different countries, don't ask why, I don't know. Anywho, I went to a McDonald's in Dublin, and they wanted to charge me for dipping sauces for McNuggets. IN fact, the young lady behind the counter was very frazzled by the notion that I'd ask for extra and had to have a discussion with her manager about how to deal with this crisis of epic proportions.

I was charged 50 pence for Sweet Curry sauce as a consequence. At least I think that is what it was, It was a sauce you can't get in the States which is why I asked for it, to see what it tasted like.

I think I ruined the poor girls day, apparently they had a one dipping sauce per customer policy.

"I told her, and subsequently, McDonalds, to go suck a fat one, I've got my own ketchup at home."

It's not generally the nicest thing to say to someone who is just doing their job.

It is a good thing I don't like ketchup on my fries then. When I use ketchup, I can't taste my fries only the ketchup and the fries also lose their crispiness. Paying for ketchup is pretty ridiculous though. They always offer me some at the window or stuff them in my bag without my permission and I end up throwing them away. I hope she was making some kind of inappropriate joke when she said that I just can't wrap my head around paying for ketchup.

Damn this thread is making me hungry!

Hey, who knows, maybe she digs sucking fat ones.

Besides, what I actually said was, "Oh, nevermind then. I got ketchup at home." I just wanted to sound more badass than I actually have the guts to be.

Yes. The lady at the window said the ketchup packets for my fries would be 15 cents each.

When did this start? I mean, yeah the barbecue sauce costs a little extra, because it's more than a single packet. But ketchup? Seriously?

Has anyone else heard about this? Is this a new thing everywhere, or just at my local branch?

Also, how fucking stupid is this? Very? Yeah, very. I'm going with very fucking stupid.
You had every right to be angry, but don't take it out on the employees. They are just doing what the people who pay them tell them to do. I work at a grocery store and people often attack me like I was at the big meeting where they decided to piss off the customers. I come in to work and do what they tell me to do and the same goes for this woman you berated. If you want to complain then talk to a manager, they are the ones who make some of the decisions that get put into action. Attacking regular employees is like hitting a wall, you may have lessened your anger but you did it in a manner that wasted energy on an object that was just there and not responsible.

Thats not as bad as paying to use the restroom in the McDonalds I go to. It's fucking bogus.
fuck that, just shit on the floor, let those greedy fucks deal with it.
That's not really fair to the employees that work there. They only make minimum wage, they're not the greedy ones, and they probably hate McDonalds just as much as the next guy, if not more.
Having worked for McDonalds in the past i can confirm that most people working there did indeed hate it with a passion!
