I'll preface this by saying I don't even like McDonald's but when I traveled to Ireland a few years back I needed to 'economise' and McDonald's was cheaper than the restaurants in Dublin. Plus I'm always curious about how McDonald's varies in different countries, don't ask why, I don't know. Anywho, I went to a McDonald's in Dublin, and they wanted to charge me for dipping sauces for McNuggets. IN fact, the young lady behind the counter was very frazzled by the notion that I'd ask for extra and had to have a discussion with her manager about how to deal with this crisis of epic proportions.
I was charged 50 pence for Sweet Curry sauce as a consequence. At least I think that is what it was, It was a sauce you can't get in the States which is why I asked for it, to see what it tasted like.
I think I ruined the poor girls day, apparently they had a one dipping sauce per customer policy.
