People are to poor to afford a good PC so they just talk shit on it... and that's coming from a console gamer who can't afford a good PC.
You lie sire! You can play Crysis on a laptop! Or that you can't play Crysis on a laptop.
In short, the technological maintenance makes it seem to some people inferior to consoles, which require no work of the sort.
Of course, some people just bash things for the simple reason that they don't have it or can't use it. Enter the fanboys.
Fact 5:Richard Groovy Pants said:Fact:
Most people who bash PC's have no idea what they're talking about.
Fact nº2:
Most console gamers hate everything because they just hate it.
Fact nº3:
Most console gamers are younger than most PC gamers.
Fact nº4:
Most mid-end gaming PC's are at least 4x better in terms of raw power than the Xbox and 3x better than the PS3.
Also, this guy has it right on the money.Laughing Man said:- Developers creating poorly coded or poorly optimised software with the idea being that YOU should spend the cash to upgrade your PC to play the game rather than them spend the cash making the code run better on lower end machines. CrysisCan someone with more experience with this tell me what's wrong with PC gaming?
- Required specs that are a joke and couldn't be played enjoyably in a million years. In reality meaning that you've bought a game based on the fact that your PC meets the minimum specs only to get it home and find it near unplayable. They got your money and you got a future bill to upgrade. Oblivion
- Just because you bought the game and just because you researched the game to make sure you could run it on your rig and just because it actually installed doesn't mean it will actually run. STALKER Clear SKY, Crysis
- DRM even the music industry is learning that if you treat you're customers as thieves chances are they will act like them. All the major media industries use copy protection but PC gaming is the only media that seems to actively make justification for treating it's paying customers like they are scum. Spore
- EULAs This is a clear cut example of an industry that wants your cash but doesn't want to actually be held responsible for anything it does. You effectively sign a disclaimer that says your software is not guaranteed to work, you are not guaranteed any support if it doesn't work or for that matter in the future, you are the one solely responsible for if the software causes your computer to go tits up.
- PC elitist twats. What makes something superior is the amount of enjoyment you get out of it. The PC is in no way physically capable of delivering more enjoyment than any other gaming media. The reason is because it is a subjective element. You enjoy what you enjoy. I enjoy driving games I equally enjoy Burnout Paradise on my PS3 as well as the full on simulation of GTR2 on my PC. I enjoy the killing spree of Killzone 2 on my PS3 just as much as I enjoyed F.E.A.R 2 on my PC. I enjoyed playing Civ 2 on my PS2 just as much as I did playing Civ 3 and 4 on my PC.
Graphics cost and interface meant jack shit because I enjoyed the games just as much as each other and the fact that they were on PC or Console only means jack to the idiots who bang on all day about why their method of playing games is better.
I would like to see your citations for these "facts" sir/madam. What is the definition of "most"? 51%? 65%? 80%?Richard Groovy Pants said:Fact:
