OT: It is a shame. I suppose I will have to get the game for console then. Although I hate playing FPS games on consoles. FPS does not suit controller. Although so getting this preowned.

(And 360 gamers complained when the PS3 got the ACB beta, so your point is irrelevant, since all the platforms do it when ever another gets something they want.)

OT: Meh, there are certain developers/publishers who will never give their PC releases a demo. Not really sure why, since it's one way to at least eliminate a few pirates who pirate copies to use as demos, but I'm sure people who want it will live.

Honestly I don't know, People can fly's reputation is based on the cult sucess of painkiller, a mainly PC Game.

This is just stupid, it doesn't make sense logically. All this will lead to is more and more problems. If you don't demo to the PC, how will you know it will run properly. Sure they will test it on quite a few specs, but the fact that you can have your PC set up in thousands of different combinations, they're going to have a shitstorm of complaints just like when Black Ops was released.

They're only making more problems for themselves, and then when PC gamers decide they've had enough and stop buying the shite THEY didn't make the effort not to test themselves, but to actually allow US to test it for them, the companies can turn around and say "well why should we do anything for the PC gamers, they are a declining market" when they made the decline happen in the first place.

Step 2. Bribe Websites to say these requirements are "surprisingly lenient"

Step 3. Don't release a demo and laugh as dozens of people buy a game they have no hope of running since they don't really understand PC specs but if they can run the most impressive PC game out there on high settings surely that's good enough to run a "surprisingly lenient" game.

OT; It's almost as if they're asking me to pirate the game.

I only game on PC now. Yes I own an Xbox 360, but I ended up leaving it at home when I moved to University, so I do most of my gaming on Steam. I spent far too much on the Steam Christmas sale and I'm particularly enjoying my new discovery of Rome: Total War. So yeah, I'm totally a console peon. Either you're trolling, or you need to upgrade your computer. Bulletstorm's minimum specs is comparable (and slightly lower in some respects) to Mass Effect 2's and Borderlands, and I didn't here any QQing about those being crappy ports.

hmm i might check out the demo, it sucks they didn't release a demo on pc, i dont know why..but i wasn't going to get it on there probably anyways, so sucks for those other people i suppose.

This pissed me off when I heard about it. Honestly, PC demos are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Consoles will get demos for every major release (and even a lot of "minor" releases), while PC gamers don't get anything to test out the game and how their system will perform.

It's beyond stupid in that it not only encourages piracy but is also a slap in the face to PC gamers.
