To load up and play a game seems like effort at this point. I'm enjoying a bit of browsing and some Hendrix. When games start having Jimi on their soundtracks, I'll play more.

Frets on fire is your friend. There are databases with fuck tons of songs. And it supports Guitar Hero guitars.

Pretty much this. You don't use consoles 24/7, we don't play PC games 24/7, and that was an incredibly stupid question, to be quite honest.

Besides, some of us use our PCs for work too. I'm in a university course for Game Design, and I need to use my computer for C, C++, C#, Java and various other kinds of code, not to mention written work or just general research.

Computers are a little [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Understatement] more multi-purpose than just for games, you know.

Hell, even consoles can be used for more than just games; playing DVDs or music, for example.

I always wondered why people on consoles would go to a PC just to talk about gaming. It never made any sense to me... PC gamers, well, you are already on your PC, plus a lot of squads/clans have websites, not sure if consoles if have squads...

OP because unlike or 'simplified' brethren we can play games & browse & watch TV & do other stuff & even more stuff due to the ability of a PC to multi-process and utilize a thing called windows.

Yesterday I was playing Fallout 3 on the 360 and using my laptop to listen to music, browse the internet, download a few games with D2D, and chat with friends. My 360 also costs about 1/10th as much as a PC that would be able to play Fallout 3 on a comparable graphics level - and I get to play it in the living room with other people on a 42 inch screen while my wife sat next to me and fed me grapes. And my 360 never once slowed down, had to reboot, overheated, or crashed!

Just doing my part to contribute to the flame war that will inevitably come...

haha either your dumb shit that actually believes that a computer cost 10x what your xbox and still just be able to play games with same grafic as the xbox or ur just trolling. And you know what? you buy a hdmi cable for computer to tv and there you go! you can also play pc games on ur "big" 42"

because I sometimes enjoy posting on forums, they allow me to put forward my views into the world in a generally, if moderated properly (and the escapist is) relatively harmless environment... also sometimes my posts on certain subjects sprout intellectual debate, or at least humour which is amusing in ways that simply playing games is not... and thus fills a space in my hollow lonely existence... need I really say more?
